Susan sits down with Jeremy Delk, the visionary Founder of Delk Enterprises, for a candid conversation about his extraordinary journey. In this intriguing episode of the Raw and Real Entrepreneurship Podcast, Jeremy breaks away from the norm by delivering his first interview without a single swear word. Yes, he tried so hard to keep it clean!

Jeremy openly shares the highs and lows of his entrepreneurial path, emphasizing the significance of learning from failures and viewing challenges as opportunities for growth. He explores the concept of calculated risk-taking, highlighting the importance of controlling one's investments and surrounding oneself with a capable team.

This honest and relatable conversation will inspire co-founders and founders alike to embrace authenticity, vulnerability, and self-awareness on their entrepreneurial journeys. This podcast episode will leave you empowered and ready to conquer new frontiers.

About Jeremy:

At the age of seven, Jeremy faced a significant loss when his father passed away, leaving him with a $30,000 inheritance. This event marked a turning point in his life, propelling him to become the man of the house and instilling a deep desire for stability. With a drive to break free from his small-town roots, Jeremy set his sights on New York City, captivated by the allure of Wall Street and the possibilities of financial success.

Jeremy's journey into finance began with self-education and trading stocks. He rapidly grew a portfolio from $30,000 to an impressive $2 million by age 16. However, as fate would have it, he experienced a devastating setback during the dot-com bubble burst, losing everything in just four days. This humbling experience taught him invaluable lessons about risk, resilience, and the importance of introspection.

Jeremy is the Founder of Delk Enterprises, a 20-year-old diversified VC fund with holdings in biotech & healthcare, consumer brands, technology, building materials, and real estate development. His upcoming book shares his reality of the Good, Bad, and UGLY of entrepreneurship. It serves as a not-so-subtle reminder of fundamental principles he's learned through his journey: while great times don't last forever, neither do the truly bad ones.
