Medical Freedom & Natural Birth for Registered Nurse Emily

Emily is a 37 year old first time mama from Maine USA.

She believes in the power of our bodies innate intelligence and taking responsibility for how we show up.

Emily spent nearly two decades working within the western medical system as a Registered Nurse and perfected the art of advocating for patients rights. She fought fiercely for her patients to have informed consent and deeply respect all informed choices.

Maine was one of the strictest states during the covid pandemic with vaccine and mask mandates. She started a coalition for healthcare workers against medical mandates with over 4,000 members and let her job go, along with many others, when the Covid vaccine was mandated for all healthcare workers.

She fell pregnant just a few months after that and found a midwife through the medical freedom community.

Personal autonomy and bodily integrity are integral parts of who Emily is and how she leads her life, leading to a natural and empowering birth.

Her hearts desire was to catch her own baby in the safety of her home and so she did!

So podcast family, we are in December which is the month with the most scheduled inductions and caesarians of the year. No surprise there in our over medicalized maternity system run by ob’s who want to play golf.
