PAUSE… The orange and blue flames lick the air, And pour waves of warmth over you. Calming you, Relaxing you, And melting you into sleep. LONG PAUSE… Glitter paints the night sky, They sparkle and wink at you from above, Reassuring you that from where they are, Everything is okay, And the divine painting we are all a part of, Is pure magic. PAUSE… Heavy, heavy, heavy you become, As you become one with the Earth. Sheltered by her love, And nourished by her soil. PAUSE… Sleep deep, dear one. And let the dreams awaken. LONG PAUSE… Boundless, And full of color, The visions play overhead. PAUSE… Wild with fire, Soft with love, Unscripted and untamed, Your dreams alight the night. LONG PAUSE… The worries once here, Have long ago disappeared. LONG PAUSE Now, take a moment and gently scan your body. You may notice some areas of tension and stress, and that’s okay. Feel yourself breathe out, And release it out of you.  Breathe, And release.  Breathe, And relax.  LONG PAUSE See if you can connect with your heartbeat, hearing its gentle rhythm  in the distance. LONG PAUSE As you take another breath, the rhythm softly fades, leaving you comfortable and safe  in your bed. LONG PAUSE Now, picture a game  of tug-of-war, with you on one side grasping a thick, tightly coiled rope  that goes on forever. PAUSE Some days, you may feel like you’re pulling at a that rope, and it seems to pull  with a great power against you. PAUSE So take a deep breath, and see if you can imagine loosening your grip on the rope, gingerly letting your fingers go. PAUSE Try to imagine each finger raising slowly, and each time a finger lifts, the tension in the rope releases. PAUSE And with each finger that floats upward, you notice that the rope  starts to lightly fall away. and your hands are free. PAUSE Now, picture yourself placing a hand over your heart, a hand that feels free from the rope of tension. PAUSE And, as you touch your heart,  breathe in slowly and let the calmness radiate from your heart. PAUSE While touching your heart, see if you can imagine waves of peace  flowing from your heart out into your body. PAUSE As the waves move through you, your body pulses just a bit, as it syncs to the waves, and then releases all the stress it holds. PAUSE The heart waves are flowing into your head and neck, Sending out their calming energy. PAUSE Each rhythmic wave gently encourages the muscles to unfreeze,  to thaw in relaxation. PAUSE Now, picture the heart wave traveling down your back, passing on waves of  light and healing. PAUSE And peaceful waves touch all the muscles in the back, softly uncoiling them  and melting them like butter. PAUSE Take a moment now and breathe, and feel the warm relaxation in the muscles touched by your heart wave. PAUSE And as you breathe again, imagine the heart wave pulsing, sending healing signals  to the chest and arms. PAUSE And while your chest and arms sink softly into your bed, visualize the heart wave moving toward your center. PAUSE The waves send a healing hum into your core, opening it, relaxing it. PAUSE And the soft vibrations deepen your relaxation. You feel your body is letting go, your mind letting go, into sleep. PAUSE The heart wave is sending its healing vibrations to your abdomen and lower back, letting them soften and gently give in. PAUSE Take a minute and indulge  in the buttery feeling your muscles are experiencing, as tension continues to dissolve.  PAUSE And now watch as the heart wave moves into your upper legs, those soldiers you stand on, now softening so that they feel cushy and relaxed. PAUSE And with another gentle breath, your heart wave expands into  the knees and calves flowing like gentle water, moving tension and stress away. PAUSE Now, see if you can imagine  the heart wave radiating gently  into your ankles and feet, taking pressure off of them, so they feel open and relaxed. PAUSE Now give yourself permission to acknowledge that your body is letting go,  releasing into relaxation. Gently become aware  of your surroundings, all the sounds, smells and sensations. LONG PAUSE Now, breathe in deeply and richly, and see if you can imagine an energy field, a glowing mist, all around you. LONG PAUSE Take a moment and tune into  your energy field, noticing its colors. PAUSE Imagine the blues, greens, purples,  the yellows, reds, and oranges, colors from your  physical, mental, emotional  and spiritual self all floating  around your body. PAUSE There’s even  a shimmering white, sailing in and out, like angel wings dipped in stars. PAUSE You breathe, and the colors twirl in and around each other, like ribbons in a cosmic dance. PAUSE The colors sometimes separate, sometimes harmonize together, like an artist’s pastels, or rainbow ice cream  melting in summer. PAUSE Now, take in a deep breath, and, as the breath  opens your lungs, observe the colors  drawing closer together and dancing faster. PAUSE Now, gently breathe again.  and while releasing the breath, observe the colors  expanding and contracting, like they’re alive,  and breathing with you. PAUSE Now pause for just a moment, then see if you can imagine how the energy field feels around you. PAUSE Can you feel its soft buzz as it wraps around you? Notice its gentle hum covering all of you. Protecting you like a shield. PAUSE Now, picture yourself relaxed, at ease, standing tall in your powerful energy field. PAUSE As you stand in your energy, notice the confidence bubbling up in you, confidence to move forward in any way you desire. PAUSE As you stand in your energy, notice feeling light and free, with a power radiating from the inside. PAUSE As you stand in your energy, notice your  fears and anxiety falling away, dissolving, into water that carries them away. PAUSE Now, see if you can imagine a pearl-like glow on your face, with all the energy  of your divine self– your authentic self– shining through. PAUSE And as the glow brightens, you pause, you breathe, and you realize, that the wonderful energy shield  on the outside has opened you from the inside. PAUSE Now, see if you can imagine moving in life  with your new energy, ready for new beginnings and endless possibilities that calls you to action. PAUSE And now, breathe deeply, and see if you can give yourself permission to act  on what you’re called to do. PAUSE And when you hear that calling, Singing like angels in your ears, Imagine that it transforms  into a butterfly. PAUSE And the butterfly, the wings of your dreams, alights in your hands and then gently lifts up  to the sky, with you following. On your path in strength and gratitude. LONG PAUSE Let your neck muscles melt into your pillow, While the rest of you Sinks deeply and comfortably into the folds of your bed LONG PAUSE As you melt into your bed, feel yourself become one with the bed, completely relaxed. LONG PAUSE Now, see if you can imagine a solo raindrop, iridescent in the sunlight, descending to the ground. PAUSE The raindrop pauses briefly, bubbling up like a crystal dome, before magically moving– rolling through the grass. PAUSE And as the raindrop rolls, It seems to be looking for something, something that is missing. PAUSE Now see if you can imagine connecting with the raindrop  as it stops at a golf course and asks the short, stiff grass, “Are you my tribe?” PAUSE The bright green blades of grass, stand firm in the soil and prepare to whisper their truth. You and the raindrop listen. PAUSE “No, we are not your tribe, but early in the morning, we wake and find you  nourishing us, and shining with us in the light of the sun. PAUSE Now, picture if you can,  the little raindrop smiling and thanking the golf grass for sharing, and the golf grass  wishing the raindrop  luck on its journey. PAUSE Now, take a minute and breathe in, and see if you can imagine the little raindrop and you rolling before a giant redwood tree. PAUSE As the raindrop approaches the majestic redwood, tall and powerful, it calls out, “Are you my tribe?” PAUSE And the redwood bends, ever so slightly  to see you and the tiny raindrop and shakes its leaves “no.” PAUSE Then the redwood speaks in a voice that  rumbles through the air. “From time-to-time, though, you come to me with many friends and bathe my roots and leaves, so, thank you.” PAUSE You and the little raindrop smile  and thank the redwood for sharing. And the redwood wishes you both  luck on your journey. PAUSE So, imagine if you can, that you and the little raindrop keep rolling until you come across a turtle. PAUSE You both approach  the turtle, with its greenish-brown shell and bits of algae on barnacles  sticking on the back. PAUSE You and the raindrop wait until the turtle slooowly turns and faces you and then you and the raindrop ask, “Are you my tribe? PAUSE The turtle pulls its head back in the shell and pauses for  many minutes before shaking its head “no”. PAUSE You and the raindrop are about to leave when the turtle calls out. “You are my life force and allow me to eat and travel the world. I will take you to your tribe.” PAUSE Joy fills you and the little raindrop and you shimmy back and forth  with excitement, before jumping on the turtle’s back. PAUSE On the turtle’s back,  you and the little raindrop lumber through the grass, passing mushrooms and ants and flowers until you came to the ocean. PAUSE “Are we here?” asks the little raindrop. The turtle bobs his head “yes” and lets you and the little raindrop  slide off his back  before he walks into the ocean. PAUSE You and the little raindrop stand together watching as the waves splash onto the sand and then roll back into the ocean. PAUSE “Are you my tribe?” asks the raindrop. Then, a single wave  rises above you both, magically pausing in the air. “Yes, sisters, we are.” PAUSE You and the little raindrop  study the wave and began to roll closer to her. PAUSE… Bring your thoughts and emotions to the surface, Coaxing them out of you with your inhale,  And then letting them all go as you exhale.  PAUSE… Relaxing and releasing.  Softening and opening.  Settling into this moment. So let your eyes grow heavy, And your body sink into your bed, As you feel its weight upon your soft sheets. Relax, And feel calmness slowly cover you like a blanket, Slowing down your body, Slowing down your breathing, Slowing down your mind. PAUSE… Maybe you feel a heaviness on your chest, As you think about what’s weighing on your heart. You feel guilty, Perhaps ashamed or disappointed.  It’s my fault, You hear the voices say, As the shoulds begin penetrating your mind, Like raindrops on the roof,  Coming down drop by drop,  Burning your heart with their judgements.  PAUSE… Breathe in deeply, And let the air cleanse you, Lighten you, Forgive you. And breathe out the guilt, Releasing the heaviness and the pain. Breathe in forgiveness, And release the guilt.  PAUSE… You’re a beautiful being of love, And only this moment exists. You can’t change the past, But you can gather its lessons in your arms, And continue walking. So release the guilt, beautiful, And invite in forgiveness. PAUSE… Forgive yourself for the mistakes, Forgive yourself for the imperfections, Forgive yourself for the consequences of your actions. Feel the warmth of forgiveness release you from the chains of guilt. LONG PAUSE… Nothing you’ve done can take away who you are, You are love. And you are here to express love.  So release the pain and suffering of guilt, As you absorb the lessons to be learned, And continue onto the path before you, Lighter,  And wiser. LONG PAUSE Feel the soft sheets  as they kiss your skin. You sink into their coolness,  and pull your blanket up again. LONG PAUSE Breathe once more,  deep, long, and slow, and as you exhale, let any last thoughts go. PAUSE Now imagine a gondola  on a small waterway. It’s Venice, you see, bright and beautiful at midday. PAUSE You cast a quick smile to the gondolier in the back, wearing the traditional shirt of white and black. PAUSE The gondolier tips his hat as you continue to cruise. You marvel at the narrow waterways you are passing through. PAUSE There are houses and businesses right up to the water’s edge, all lovely, bright colors– their beauty’s unmatched. PAUSE And the gondola lets you off at St. Mark’s Square where a flurry of pigeons take to the air. PAUSE The sun’s warmth  holds your face in its hands, as you stand before a palace ornate and grand.  PAUSE And you marvel at the artistry, intricate designs and lattice, that adorn the outside  of this magnificent palace.  PAUSE You’re amazed by the wonders  the palace holds within. There’s art and a gold ceiling that makes your head spin. PAUSE The art and history take your breath away. You wonder what it would have been like to live back in the day. PAUSE And as you leave the palace and return to the square, you find a bench to rest and take in the sights while you’re there. PAUSE A little girl with gelato comes and offers it to you. You say, “Grazie,” which is “thanks” as she spills some on her shoe. PAUSE She doesn’t seem to mind, as she dances in the sun. The gelato may be melting but you both are having fun. PAUSE And her laugh is contagious, as you giggle at her dance. You feel the magic of Venice coming over you at last. PAUSE The little girl runs off  and grabs the hand of her mother. She smiles and waves at you, then dances off with her brother. PAUSE They pass the bell tower, standing proud and tall, before disappearing  behind a wall. PAUSE And you notice that the sun  is starting to droop. Night is falling soon, so it’s time to regroup. PAUSE So, you find another gondola and comfortably settle in, as it heads toward your home, you reminisce where you’ve been. PAUSE Then, you pause one more minute to take in all of Venice. You hear opera floating in the air and a magic voice wraps you in it. PAUSE And the opera fades to quiet, and the laughter drops off, too. It’s you and gondolier paddling through and through. PAUSE  And as you paddle toward the stars You’re grateful you had the chance to see Venice at its best, It’s your Italian romance. PAUSE And the gondola dissolves, as the night runs deep, and you find yourself in bed again, at peace, and ready for sleep. Let go of any tension in this area, letting it melt away. LONG PAUSE... Feel your belly rise and fall with each breath. Picture a calm ocean within, gently ebbing and flowing. Sense the peace radiating from your core. PAUSE... Direct your attention to your chest and heart. Imagine a soft, golden light embracing this space. Feel your heart rate slowing and calming down. PAUSE... Now, shift your focus to your arms and hands. Sense the tension dissolving as they become lighter. Imagine your arms floating weightlessly by your sides. PAUSE... Your body craves calm, Your mind craves space, So let yourself go, Into a calming place.  LONG PAUSE… Bring your awareness to your neck and shoulders. Allow any tightness to release and fade away. Feel your neck lengthening and your shoulders relaxing. PAUSE... Focus on your face and head. Picture a cool breeze sweeping away any thoughts or emotions swirling around. Relax your forehead, your cheeks, and your jaw. PAUSE... Imagine your eyes resting in gentle darkness, Absorbing the quietness and finding peace. Sense a wave of calmness washing over your entire face. PAUSE... Now, let your whole body become still and serene. Feel the tranquility flowing through every cell. You are completely at ease, embraced by a deep sense of calm. PAUSE... Let sleep to wash over you, Like a gentle lullaby guiding you to a peaceful slumber. Embrace the serenity within and surrender to deep, restful sleep. LONG PAUSE As you breathe in again, imagine a house on the  edge of the woods, a house bathed in winter snow, with smoke dancing out of a chimney. PAUSE Now, imagine yourself  standing in front of the house at nighttime, dressed in a warm clothes that hug you and keep you comfortable. PAUSE And as you stand outside, in the beautiful winter air, you notice the full moon above, a brilliant, shining orb that  washes its silvery light over  the house, the snow, the woods, and you. PAUSE And in the distance, you hear a noise, softly at first, but then it grows stronger, Whooo, Whooo. Whooo, Whooo. An owl calls to you from the woods. PAUSE Now, imagine yourself  taking a step in the snow. It crunches beneath your foot, but gently gives way to you. So, you take another step and another. PAUSE And with each step you take, you draw closer and closer  to the beautiful woods  near the house. PAUSE And, as you reach the woods, you pause  and hear the owl calling again. Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. PAUSE For a moment,  you look at the woods, deep into her heart, a heart teeming  with life and mystery. PAUSE Slowly, you step into the woods, the crisp snow crackling softly beneath your feet again, the moon lighting a path for you to follow. PAUSE Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. The owl’s call is clear, a call that guides you into her woods. PAUSE With each step you take, deeper and deeper into the woods, a feeling of calm and a sense of knowing become stronger and stronger. PAUSE Standing in the woods, you take a moment  to bask in the present. In doing so,  you spy a deer and her fawn. PAUSE The doe stops and looks up at you, still, and all-knowing, You feel her understanding, After a moment, she and her fawn  go on their way. PAUSE The owl’s call  glides through the air again, and this time, you answer, Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. PAUSE Giant wings  flap above you, and you crane your neck to see. PAUSE The moonlight unveils a magnificent owl  sitting on a tree branch just above you. PAUSE Silently, you and the owl look at one another,  connecting, understanding in wonder. PAUSE After a moment,  the owl draws closer, and you look into her golden eyes. PAUSE For a moment, you see the world spinning in the owl’s eyes, filled with life and knowledge that the owl shares with you. PAUSE Imagine, now, that the world In the owl’s eyes  becomes our galaxy, and then other galaxies– universes far away, all sharing their wisdom with you. PAUSE You breathe in the knowledge, then gradually reach out to the owl  who steps on your arm.  PAUSE For a moment, you both just look at one another. Then softly and gently, The owl wraps her wings around you like a feathery blanket  PAUSE You snuggle in, feeling protected, understanding all there is  from this incredible creature. PAUSE Together, you and the owl stand as One. One in all the forest, One in all of nature, One in all the universe. PAUSE And slowly, you breathe in, and as the breath sweeps  into your lungs, you feel the owl  and her wisdom nestle deep in your heart. PAUSE So, you begin your journey out of the woods, step-by-step over the crackling snow. back to the house at the edge of the woods.
