Breathe deeply again, becoming aware of your surroundings, aware of the present. LONG PAUSE Breathe in again, and as you do, let your body release its tension and let the soft folds of the bed blend with you. LONG PAUSE As you breathe in again, imagine a house on the  edge of the woods, a house bathed in winter snow, with smoke dancing out of a chimney. PAUSE Now, imagine yourself  standing in front of the house at nighttime, dressed in a warm clothes that hug you and keep you comfortable. PAUSE And as you stand outside, in the beautiful winter air, you notice the full moon above, a brilliant, shining orb that  washes its silvery light over  the house, the snow, the woods, and you. PAUSE And in the distance, you hear a noise, softly at first, but then it grows stronger, Whooo, Whooo. Whooo, Whooo. An owl calls to you from the woods. PAUSE Now, imagine yourself  taking a step in the snow. It crunches beneath your foot, but gently gives way to you. So, you take another step and another. PAUSE And with each step you take, you draw closer and closer  to the beautiful woods  near the house. PAUSE And, as you reach the woods, you pause  and hear the owl calling again. Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. PAUSE For a moment,  you look at the woods, deep into her heart, a heart teeming  with life and mystery. PAUSE Slowly, you step into the woods, the crisp snow crackling softly beneath your feet again, the moon lighting a path for you to follow. PAUSE Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. The owl’s call is clear, a call that guides you into her woods. PAUSE With each step you take, deeper and deeper into the woods, a feeling of calm and a sense of knowing become stronger and stronger. PAUSE Standing in the woods, you take a moment  to bask in the present. In doing so,  you spy a deer and her fawn. PAUSE The doe stops and looks up at you, still, and all-knowing, You feel her understanding, After a moment, she and her fawn  go on their way. PAUSE The owl’s call  glides through the air again, and this time, you answer, Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. PAUSE Giant wings  flap above you, and you crane your neck to see. PAUSE The moonlight unveils a magnificent owl  sitting on a tree branch just above you. PAUSE Silently, you and the owl look at one another,  connecting, understanding in wonder. PAUSE After a moment,  the owl draws closer, and you look into her golden eyes. PAUSE For a moment, you see the world spinning in the owl’s eyes, filled with life and knowledge that the owl shares with you. PAUSE Imagine, now, that the world In the owl’s eyes  becomes our galaxy, and then other galaxies– universes far away, all sharing their wisdom with you. PAUSE You breathe in the knowledge, then gradually reach out to the owl  who steps on your arm.  PAUSE For a moment, you both just look at one another. Then softly and gently, The owl wraps her wings around you like a feathery blanket  PAUSE You snuggle in, feeling protected, understanding all there is  from this incredible creature. PAUSE Together, you and the owl stand as One. One in all the forest, One in all of nature, One in all the universe. PAUSE And slowly, you breathe in, and as the breath sweeps  into your lungs, you feel the owl  and her wisdom nestle deep in your heart. PAUSE So, you begin your journey out of the woods, step-by-step over the crackling snow. back to the house at the edge of the woods. Feel the air cycle in, And out of your body.  Over and over again,  Slower, And slower. Deeper, And deeper.  Relaxing,  And softening.  Melting into the night. LONG PAUSE… Bring your attention to your feet. Feel them soften as you focus on them lying on your bed.  Imagine warm, soothing water flowing into your feet,  Relaxing every muscle and melting you deeper.  PAUSE… Feel the tension melting away,  As your feet slowly part, And soften with relaxation.  LONG PAUSE… Now bring your attention to your legs. Feel the muscles loosening and relaxing, Imagining water gently pouring over them,  And melting deeper into your bed.  PAUSE… All is quiet, All is clear, Melt even further, Into the night, my dear.  LONG PAUSE… Now, bring your attention onto your lower back. Feel the muscles in your lower back softening and releasing tension. Allow the warm, soothing water to flow over you, Melting your body, Clearing your mind.  LONG PAUSE… Now bring your attention to your belly and chest. Feeling the water softly pour over you,  Loosening, softening, and melting you. PAUSE… Sink deeper into relaxation.  LONG PAUSE… Come into your arms. Feel the muscles softening, loosening, and releasing. LONG PAUSE Imagine yourself  walking on a city sidewalk  in the cool of the evening, in a city full of life. PAUSE And, as you walk along the sidewalk, you notice lights all around you, lights full of colors, pulsing in the night air. PAUSE And along your walk, you pass people sitting at an outdoor cafe, laughing, eating, and  sipping cappuccino. PAUSE You give the people a smile and a gesture of “hello.” And the people smile in return and nod to you as you pass by. PAUSE Now, imagine  something in the sky that catches your attention– lights and colors from fireworks burst across the sky. PAUSE You stop for a moment and take in the magic  of the beautiful flowery shapes that open then cascade from the sky. PAUSE You look around  at the people who “Oooh” and “Awww” in pure joy as each firework blossoms, one right after the other. PAUSE Then you continue along your walk, until you reach a bookstore, open and alive with  people of the night. PAUSE You enter the bookstore and listen as a young couple reads poetry to each other, eyes smiling with love. PAUSE Your eye catches an older man, with a beard and black glasses, cozied up in a big, fluffy chair, turning the pages of a philosophy book. PAUSE And as you walk deeper into the store, you notice the shelves and shelves of books– books of all colors, shapes, and sizes. PAUSE While looking at the books, you pass a row where one book stands out, where one book calls to you. PAUSE You go to the book and remove it from the shelf. The book feels comfortable, familiar, so you open it. PAUSE As you look at the page, words pop out. They twist and turn until they form  a message of encouragement just for you. What do those words say? PAUSE You pull the book to your heart and listen, as your mind whispers,  the message again and again, until the message is nestled into your heart and mind. PAUSE And then, after a moment, you close the book  and quietly thank it for the message, as you gently place it on the shelf. PAUSE Then you leave the bookstore and begin walking again.  The cool air kisses your cheeks and you draw a sweater in tight. PAUSE You walk to another cafe where people laugh, eat, and sip cappuccino. And you order something  to warm you inside, something you swirl, as the steam climbs from the cup. PAUSE While seated at the cafe, you pull out a pen and jot the encouraging words on a napkin. Then tuck the napkin  in a pocket. PAUSE You sip your warm drink and put your hand on the napkin. And as the warmth  from your drink spreads through you, so do the words on the napkin. They become part of you. PAUSE You draw in a deep breath, take one more sip of your drink, and then walk away in the night, knowing the words from the book are now your words of truth. LONG PAUSE And as you find  the perfect space in your bed, the perfect, most relaxing place in the sheets, take a moment and breathe. LONG PAUSE And as you breathe, invite your body  yo let go and rest. Let yourself center for sleep. LONG PAUSE Now, draw in another  long, deep breath, and imagine seeing a feather gently alight on your feet. PAUSE As the feather  softly rests on your feet, It’s fluffy touch relaxes your feet and toes, deeply relaxes them. PAUSE Now, envision the feather floating toward  your lower leg and then gently wafting down touching the legs. PAUSE Its warm feathery touch  is so relaxing. It sends calming,  healing energy through your legs while just resting on them. PAUSE The feather moves slightly across your legs. And with each touch, deepens the relaxation. PAUSE Breathe in, and imagine the feather  moving toward your thighs. Once again, it lands gently on them, easing any tension, opening the thigh muscles, and relaxing them fully. PAUSE And now, notice the feather alighting on your belly, sending its relaxing, healing energies deep inside you. PAUSE And while the feather  rests on your abdomen, feel its relaxing power sinking through to your lower back, helping your lower back  release tension, and become just like butter. PAUSE Then the feather softly moves  to your center, where it nestles against your core, brushing away tension  and spreading relaxation all through the core and mid-back. PAUSE The feather floats to your chest, landing near your heart, where your perfect rhythm lives. And the feather relaxes you  even more deeply. PAUSE Now, the feather’s energy reaches  your upper back and your arms, softening those muscles and absorbing all the tension. PAUSE Now, the feather scoots  just a few inches above, to your neck, where your throat and neck muscles give way to the  feather’s relaxing power. PAUSE The feather pauses and you breathe Feeling warmed muscles  that melt into relaxation, leaving you open  and full of peace. PAUSE Now, Imagine the feather brushing your face, and with each touch, the muscles in your jaw, your cheeks,  and your forehead soften with all the tension dissolving. PAUSE Now, the feather  gently strokes the top of your head, relaxing your scalp and opening you  to beautiful dreams. PAUSE Imagine, now,   a soft purple light stretching for the sky from the top of your head. PAUSE And imagine Spirit gently dropping dreams into the light, happy, loving dreams that will carry you  through the night. PAUSE And as Spirit  gifts these dreams to you, your body softens even more and asks you to  embrace these beautiful dreams and the sleep  they now bring to you. PAUSE Feel the mist on your face, like tears of release, Dissolving barriers, granting inner peace. Let forgiveness rain upon your precious soul, Healing wounds once deep, making you whole. PAUSE As the waterfall's song merges with your breath, Feel the freedom of forgiveness with every step. Your old self, once burdened by mistakes, Now blossoms anew, like springtime lakes. PAUSE Imagine embracing your old self's hand, Walking together on soft, forgiving sand. The past and present merge into one, As forgiveness and self-love are finally sung. Find a comfortable repose In your bed, your soothing fortress. LONG PAUSE As you draw in a breath, Shift the focus to you, Knowing it’s time to rest And let your body renew. LONG PAUSE Sometimes, your days may feel hard, When you’ve put your heart into work And it doesn’t feel you’ve gone far, You may question your worth. PAUSE Other times, you may push  just like a machine, Feeling disconnected and unappreciated, As well as lost and unseen. PAUSE So now, take just a minute, To let go of those thoughts. Send them away in balloons And let them get lost. PAUSE Those thoughts come from others They’re not the essence of you They’re drenched in judgment And are far from your truth. PAUSE Now, breathe and check in with yourself, As those thoughts drift out of sight, You may feel less tension  And sense a feeling that  it’s going to be all right. PAUSE So, open your mind To what it means to be all right.  Embrace the thoughts and words And say thanks for the insight. PAUSE Then, gather your voice, The one tucked in your heart, Make a joyful noise, To unleash the power of your art. PAUSE And, imagine as you sing Your vibrations flow outward  Like the flowers of spring, Touching souls they encounter. PAUSE And let others hear you Singing loud and proud as can be. Feeling fresh and new Coming into your power, and free. PAUSE Now, you sing a note that’s a high vibration. that carries you to a mountaintop And becomes your inspiration. PAUSE You’re inspired to use your voice And not keep it hidden away, To be yourself in joy No matter what others say. PAUSE As you sing down the mountain, Wisdom greets you on your way You come to understand that  Your voice can be heard in many ways. PAUSE You can talk, write, and sing When you want others to hear, You can even whisper your truth If someone is near. PAUSE It’s empowering to use your voice, So guard it with your might and know, How you use it is a choice And can leave you and others aglow. PAUSE So come back to your bed From the mountains of song. Cozy up in your covers, Enjoy feeling relaxed and strong. PAUSE Being tough on yourself  isn’t right or wrong, It can move you forward at times, Which is fine, Just don’t let it dampen your song. PAUSE But when the toughness comes from others Who don’t know any better, Take it with a grain of salt  It’s your voice that truly matters.
