There’s no perfect in parenting - KICBUMP with Lael Stone

You can’t be what you can’t see and for most of us (for better or worse) our only parental role models will be the people that raised us. So are we destined to raise our children in the same way that our parents raised us? And if you want to parent differently…how can you unlearn the way you were brought up?

Lael Stone is a speaker, educator and author who helps adults understand the imprints we learned in childhood that shape how we understand the world and how we parent.

In this conversation Steph and Lael speak about parenting acting as a mirror to your own experiences, the importance of having enough support to parent in the way you want, and Lael offers words of encouragement to any parent thinking they’re not doing a good enough job.
