#147: Lessons from 81 Pitches to National & Regional Media, The Importance of Connection

Closed 85% of my pitches to National & Regional Media Representatives (69 of 81).

Showed me the relevance & importance of emotions, emotional health, & emotional intelligence in our country today.

Who is not being impacted by so many different emotionally charged events over the past 12 - 18 mos.

How many of us have been trained on how to effectively identify & manage our emotions?

Many of my "pitching" peers would have been more effective had they had more self-awareness & social awareness when pitching the Media Reps.

It's difficult, if not impossible to identify your unique voice & true authenticity w/out emotional intelligence. It was evident watching many of my peers.

This journey of becoming healthier emotionally is so critically important & truly impacts every facet of our lives.

Unaddressed emotional issues don't get better over time; they actually compound.

Emotionally healthy people help heal other people emotionally.
