Suzy Lamplugh's case had started to become cold despite the police saying that they had a prime suspect. Witnesses came forward and a new reinvestigation began in 2000 however to this day we still do not know what happened to Suzy and crucially we do not know where she is. On the 28th of July 1986, 25 year old Suzy Lamplugh stepped out of her office at Sturgis and Sons in Fulham where she worked as an estate agent. She loved her job and was on her way to an appointment to conduct a viewing on Shorralds Road not far from the office. Despite the fact that this was a routine part of her day, Suzy would never return to the office. In fact she was never seen again. The investigation into her disappearance focussed on the man who made the appointment; Mr Kipper and his possible role in what was suspected as her murder. On the 15th of April 1994, 78-year-old Ron Cousins was found brutally murdered in his own home by two of his neighbours. His outside tap was dripping and his curtains had been drawn since the previous day. The neighbours however were not expecting to find the scene that greeted them. On Saturday May the 3rd 2003, 7 year old Daniel Entwistle went to the local shop in the seaside town of Great Yarmouth in Norfolk. He was on an errand for his dad and was asked to get a bottle for his baby brother. Daniel did this happily, gave it to his dad and then went back out to play. This was an episode that was published on Patreon in January 2020. Ruth's case needs more publicity and it has been suggested to me multiple times. On Monday 27th November 1995, the Wilson Family were in a rush trying to get out of the house for work and school. Ian and Karen Wilson were both teachers and were in a hurry to get to work while Ian's two daughters Ruth and Jenny were getting ready for school. 16 year old Ruth told her sister on this day however that she was not going to get on the bus with her as normal. She explained she was going to go to the library to do some work. This was not necessarily unusual as Ruth was now in Sixth Form and didn't have lessons every day. It was unusual however when Ruth did not return home at all. A police investigation began which would uncover some strange circumstances surrounding Ruth's disappearance. A documentary many years later would also uncover some previously unknown information. The Documentary Vanished; The Surrey Schoolgirl was a large part of my research for the case. On June the 6th 1991, 43 year old Penny Bell left her home in Denham in Buckinghamshire at 9:40am. The day was like any other for her family and she told builders in her home she was late for a meeting. By 11am however she had been found murdered in her car just 9 miles from her house. She had been stabbed upwards of 50 times. The investigation would uncover a strange crime scene and multiple odd witness sightings. On the 16th of August 1980, 11 year old friends John Greenwood and Gary Miller were out playing in their local neighbourhood of Whiston in Merseyside. Later that evening their beaten bodies were found underneath a mattress by a passerby. The community were horrified and wanted answers. A man was arrested and went to trial for the murders but this did not go as planned. Just this year, police and the families have stated they want to take this same man to trial again.
