PorscheCooled Owner Stories #41 - Mark '08 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet

In today’s PorscheCooled Podcast Michael presents episode 41 of owner stories with Mark from North Carolina in the U.S. Growing Mark’s dad had (as he puts it) had “functional cars, not fancy cars”. Marks first memories of Porsche are those iconic scenes in the ‘80’s movie ‘Risky Business’ with the Porsche 928 S. Not to mention Prom night and seeing his friend take off in his dads ‘80s 911 Turbo. After this Mark was hooked. This was pre-Internet, so Mark started researching Porsche, fuelling his passion through car magazines. Marks’s passion and desire to own a Porsche 911 one day made him set a goal. His dad was big on goals, so mark set one for himself. In the early 90’s Mark opened what he called his ‘Porsche account’. He saved what he could, not dipping into the funds until he could buy his first Porsche. Earlier this year that’s exactly what happened. Some twenty years or so later Mark used his Porsche account funds and bought himself his first 911; a 2008 997.1 Carrera 4s Cabriolet. A Goal and dream achieved and a great PorscheCooled owner story.
