Advice I Would Give To A Young Realtor | Podcast for Realtors

How to become a successful real estate agent at a young age? There are many things to keep in mind when first starting out in this business. After 20+ years of doing real estate, here are some things we would do differently if we could turn back time. 1. Save Money: Real estate is a commission-based industry, which means your income can be unpredictable. It's important to create a budget and save money for lean times. Consider setting aside a percentage of each commission check to build your savings. 2. Be More Organized: As a realtor, you need to be organized to manage multiple clients and listings effectively. Use a CRM system to keep track of your leads, appointments, and deadlines. Create a schedule and stick to it. 3. Align Yourself with the Right People: Networking is crucial in real estate, but it's equally important to align yourself with the right people. Surround yourself with other successful realtors, mentors, and industry professionals who can offer guidance, support, and advice. Join local real estate associations or groups to expand your network. 4. Stay Consistent: Consistency is key in real estate. Create a marketing plan and stick to it. Be consistent in your branding, messaging, and communication with clients. Follow up with leads regularly and stay top-of-mind with past clients through socials, newsletters, or holiday cards. 5. Listen to Your Gut: Real estate involves making tough decisions, so it's important to trust your instincts. If a deal doesn't feel right, don't be afraid to walk away. If it feels right but you're hesitant, asses the situation and make the leap. Listen to your clients' needs and concerns, and be open to their feedback. 6. Believe in Yourself: Success in real estate requires confidence and belief in yourself. Don't be afraid to take risks and try new things. Celebrate your successes, no matter how small.
