What to make of the Kim-Putin Summit

For the first time in nearly 25 years, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin is in North Korea to visit its leader, Kim Jong-un. The leaders have signed a new strategic partnership agreement – a reflection of how important this burgeoning alliance has become to both countries, as Putin increasingly relies upon North Korean weaponry to support his war in Ukraine. Correspondent Mike Valerio walks us through the visit so far, joining the show from Seoul. Also on today's show: Sue Mi Terry, Former CIA Senior Analyst / Senior Fellow for Korea Studies, Council on Foreign Relations; Bryan Stevenson, Executive Director, Equal Justice Initiative; Bryant Terry, James Beard Award-winning Chef / Author, “Black Food: Stories, Art and Recipes from Across the African Diaspora” Learn more about your ad choices.
