UK-China: The Jobs Impact

UK-China: The Jobs Impact

In the second episode of this new podcast from the China-Britain Business Council, Andrew Peaple talks to CBBC executive director for public affairs Lise Bertelsen about two interesting recent reports that shed light on the state of economic ties between the UK and China, and the benefits those ties can bring.

The first report, from Cambridge Econometrics, found that well over 100,000 jobs in the UK can be attributed to the country's goods trade with China, along with the increasing numbers of Chinese students and tourists coming here. Among the report's findings is the fact jobs related to China are well spread around Britain. For more details, please follow this link:

The second report, from the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in the UK, looked at Chinese companies' attitudes towards investing in the UK.
