He facilitated the largest UK ministerial/defence visit to Moscow since 1944, negotiated a bilateral treaty to reduce operational risk, and informed UK Russia policy and strategy. Currently, he is a visiting lecturer to King's College London, a mentor to future UK defence attaches and advisors, and a RAND Europe associate. He has a lifelong interest in Russia, Ukraine, their languages, peoples, cultures, and histories.
