Anthropologist about war

How should soldiers approach different environments and cultures – to avoid creating a war zone? How do we measure progress in a war zone once at war? How do we even get people in a war zone to talk honestly? How is technology contributing to the understanding of what has actually happened in war? Where is the boundary between freedom and security? These are some of the topics in this episode with Dr. David J. Kilcullen, one of the world’s leading anthropologists on counterterrorism and counter-insurgency. He is interviewed by one of FFI’s top social anthropologists and expert on the Norwegian Special Operations Forces, Dr. Tone Danielsen.
