Her parents wanting more for her pushed her out of her element and made her attend a college preparatory school where she no longer was the majority but the minority. At the age of 19, Jess became a mother trying to juggle the tough moments of motherhood while grasping the difficulties of childbirth as a black woman. Announcing her 2nd pregnancy over a decade later and the preparations to be a mother again brings excitement and curiosity to the experience now having guidance, proper healthcare information and the ability to make a plan to enjoy this part of life and not just be in survival mode through the process.
