Day 40: Exodus 30-32

Today on Meditating the Word, God gives Moses instructions for The Altar of Incense, Atonement Money, Basin for Washing, Anointing Oil, and Incense; God chooses craftsmen to make the tent, the furnishings, the anointing oil and the incense; and the Children of Israel make a Golden Calf to worship.

This is Day 40. Today we are reading Exodus Chapters 30-32.

Father God, how quickly we forget. We give credit to others for the blessings you have given us, or we take the credit for ourselves. When in all truth, it is you, and you alone, who has given us freedom. You are our source and our provider. You are our redeemer. We may not worship a golden calf, but still, we put things before you in our lives, Father. Thank you for your mercy, your love and your forgiveness. Remind us always, Father, to put you before everything else and help us to live lives that are pleasing to you. Amen
