Day 185: 2nd Kings 9-11

Today on Meditating the Word, Jehu is anointed King of Israel, Joram and Ahaziah are killed, Jezebel and all of Ahab's family are killed. The servants of Baal are killed. Athaliah seizes the throne briefly, then 7 year old Joash is anointed King.

This is Day 185. Today we are reading 2nd Kings 9-11

Father God, I'm reminded of the Apostle Paul's words to Timothy -- to not let anyone belittle him according to his youth. Jehoash was just a young boy of seven when he was anointed king over your people. He had a wise spiritual counselor in Jehoida, and that made all the difference. We know you are not a respector of persons Father. You can use the greatest and you can use the least. May we be found worthy vessels for you. Amen
