We’re going down under this week to chat with Andre Slade of Swimrun Australia. We recorded this conversation the week after their newest event took place in the Gold Coast and it was super fun to get the lowdown on the Swimrun scene in Australia plus get a mini race director report on how the event went and so much more.

Training Update

It’s off-season time and while we don’t have a training update to share, we would like to share that we have survived our first gauntlet of the holiday season: Thanksgiving. We managed to not go completely overboard so that’s a win in our book!

Shoutout

This week’s shoutout goes to Adriel Young. Adriel is a 4-time Swimrun World Champion, former guest of the show, and an amazing ambassador for the sport. How amazing is he? Well, in today’s interview we learned about how he literally brought Swimrun to his home in Australia and we can’t think of anything cooler, than literally introducing the sport of Swimrun (in the form of the first event held) to an entire country!

Feats of Endurance

This week’s award goes to everyone that raced Swimrun Hydra in Greece over the weekend. Special shoutouts to Strava Club members Tobie and G-flo, Chrissy and Bill, and Henrick (a.k.a. The Swimrun Pappa) who raced.
