On November 3, 2018, 40-year-old Tamla Horsford spent the evening and late night drinking with her girlfriends and celebrating one of the friend’s birthdays at a home in Cumming, Georgia. Despite the night of good food, friends, and drinking, the party ultimately ended in tragedy. Early the next morning, Tamla, the only black person at the party, was found lying face down in the backyard, dead.
