Women's Day COLLECT Lord Jesus Christ, the Bread of life, you call us to be forgiving and kind: strengthen us by your grace, that in communion with you, we may forgive one another and live-in love as you love us; for you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen. Reading Ephesians 4: 25-5: 2 25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbour, for we are members one of another. 26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil. 28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labour, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need. 29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. THE GOSPEL according to John 6: 35, 41-51 47 Very truly, I tell you, whoever believes has eternal life. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh." PRAYER IN THE TIME OF COVID Author of life, Saviour of the nations COVID is humbling, your grace is sufficient. The deaths, we mourn; For the recoveries, we give thanks; The compassionate care, we applaud; For the vaccines, we are grateful; For compliance, we plead; For the common good, we pray; In the healing name of Jesus.
