Co-Moderator - Alice Wong Alice is a Physical Therapist by day, and a wine educator by night. Her love for Italian wine started in the early 2000s when she lived in New York. That passion continued to grow when she relocated to Hong Kong, and she was proud to be one of the first batch of graduates from the enhanced edition of the Vinitaly Italian Wine Ambassador Program in 2018. Ever since then, Alice has been working closely with the Italian Consulate and also the Italian Trade Agency in Hong Kong to promote Italian wines. She has also represented several wine consortia in Italy, such as the Alto Adige Wine Consortium and the Consortium For the Protection of Abruzzo Wines, on professional training and consumer education. Daughter of Gianni Masciarelli and Marina Cvetic, Miriam Lee reveals a markedly lively and curious personality, travelling frequently as a child to follow his father and grandfather in all the business activities from logistics to production, cultivation and processing, thus gaining excellent winemaking skills and getting passionate especially about the development of the vineyards. Following the sudden passing of Gianni Masciarelli, 18-year-old Miriam Lee replaced her father as the winery administrator and, while studying in Rome, started working as a junior brand manager. After graduating in Economics and Management at Luiss University of Rome, Miriam first worked in New York for a wine importer company and, then, for a PR and communication agency specialized in wine & beverage: these experiences added to those Miriam had gained on the field, working in a few restaurants during her high school years. Recently, she has made a significant contribution in defining the style of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC Riserva Villa Gemma since vintage 2012. Nowadays, Miriam Lee works full time in the family business as the Brand Manager, specifically focusing on promotions, sponsorships and special events worldwide.
