In 1979, Martin Allen was 15 years old and travelling to stay at his brother's house in the Holloway area of London. He regularly did this and travelled on the Underground every day to school however this day was different. He did not return and his family have been left with no answers to what happened to him. On Christmas Eve 1919 a farmer was walking along the sand on St Anne's beach in Lytham in Lancashire when he discovered the body of a young woman. The police found out that she was 26 year old Kathleen Elsie Breaks. When this was further investigated they discovered that had recently become close to a man who became their prime suspect. Peter and Sylvia Stuart lived on Mill Lane in the village of Weybread in Suffolk. The couple were retired and enjoyed their time together; seeing family and going out and about. Therefore when neighbours hadn't seen them in a while, they grew concerned and contacted the couple's daughter. On the 20th of October 1998, 40 year old Lyn Bryant went out for a walk with her Lurcher dog Jay in the village of Ruan High Lanes in Cornwall. At around 2:30pm a holidaymaker was travelling along a remote wooded lane when they discovered Lyn's body on the edge of a field close to the road. She had been attacked and brutally murdered. The question of who would have committed this was a huge mystery as Lyn was a mother and grandmother who was well liked in the village. A large investigation was carried out by Devon and Cornwall Police however to this day, Lyn's murder remains unsolved. On the 24th of August 1908 Caroline Luard was out for a walk with her husband in the village of Seal Chart in Kent. She returned home to have afternoon tea with her friend and her husband went on to the nearby golf club. When he returned home he found his wife's friend at the house but his wife was not there. In the early 1990's, Alan Leppard and Brenda Long had just started their new life together in Monkton in Thanet in Kent. They were both divorced from previous partners and knew that they had finally found the right one for them. On Easter Monday 1991, the couple had been having a quiet night in when a surprise knock on the door broke the silence. Alan went down to answer it and Brenda soon found him staggering back into the house. He had been shot on the doorstep. Police searched for any motive for the murder but found none. On the 18th of March 2009, 35 year old chef Claudia Lawrence went to work as usual at Goodricke College at the University of York. She had a usual 6am shift and would leave very early for work. At the time Claudia was walking to work while her car was in the garage. She returned home and carried out her usual routine. When she didn't go to work the next day however her friends and family became worried. When her father went into her home with his spare key he found everything as should be with her breakfast plates still in the sink.
