I episode 18 og 19 snakker jeg med Dagfrid Forberg som i dag er nestleder i ZERO (Zero Emission Resource Organisation) og tidligere generalsekretær for Snowboardforbundet.

Episode 18 handler om hvordan Dagfrid har opparbeidet seg lederkompetanse. Reisen hennes var ikke helt opplagt og har gått seg til ved at hun har fulgt hjertet og tatt de valgene som har føltes rett for henne og ikke nødvendigvis de valgene som samfunnet ville definert som “de rette”.

Dagfrid har vært med og gjøre ZERO om til en av norges beste arbeidsplasser. De har vunnet Great Place to Work flere år på rad.

Også snakker vi om hvor Dagfrid finner motivasjon til å jobbe for klimasaken. “Jeg føler en ansvarsfølelse for å gjenopprette et samfunn hvor vi ikke belaster naturen mer enn den tåler”.

En episode om ansvar, engasjement, løsninger, fremgang, utvikling og det å utfordre det eksisterende.

Episode 19 handler om Dagfrids ulykke hvor hun skadet hodet og pådro seg en hjernerystelse som utviklet seg til Post Commotio Syndrom (PCS: senfølge av hjernerystelse), sykemelding og en lang vei tilbake til en normal hverdag.

I dag er hun tilbake i jobb og ønsker å dele av sine erfaringer til andre som havner i en lignende situasjon og til deres pårørende. Vi snakker om hjernehelse generelt og hvordan vi kan trene hjernen i situasjoner hvor hjernen er påført ekstra stress. Som ved en hjernerystelse, utmattelse, utbrenthet, stress, traumer ol. Hvordan bli frisk, hvordan blir man sykere, hva må pårørende vite for å kunne hjelpe deg, osv...

Det er det ultimate paradokset: Jo mer fakta vi har om global oppvarming, jo mer bestrides de samme faktaene. Det har ikke vært målt høyere andel av klimagassen CO2 i atmosfæren vår på 800.000 år, men likevel polariseres debatten, og lite skjer. Er det slik at mennesker har en hjerne som uunngåelig tenker kortsiktig – og hvordan kan vi kommunisere om klima på en slik måte at vi handler mer langsiktig i hverdag og politikk?

I Det vi tenker på når vi prøver å ikke tenke på global oppvarming viser psykolog og økonom Per Espen Stoknes oss de fem grunnleggende psykologiske mekanismene som hindrer oss i å handle i klimasaken. Og ikke nok med det: Han gir oss nye strategier for hvordan vi kan snakke om global oppvarming på en måte som skaper positive løsninger og meningsfulle handlinger.

Do you want something in your life?  Well, then go make it happen.  Get up, get out, start making a plan, doing research, taking accountability for your non-doing, your own actions, your own choices.. HOW YOU SHOW UP IN THE WORLD.  You want something, well, then start MAKING SOME ACTION. Get of your phone, your screen, your couch.  Stop distracting yourself with shiny unicorns.  Get real. Be honest with yourself.  WHAT IS WITHIN YOUR POWER TO CHANGE IS YOU AND YOUR OWN THOUGHTS AND ACTIONS.  You don't want to attract and get from "poor me" attitude. It's not poor you. You are capable, YOU ARE! Just freaking start.  DOING SOMETHING.... AnYtHiNg that will take you closer to where you want to be. Probably more confident in one way or the other. Well, how do you build that confidence within YOU?  Find a coach, take a class, go dancing, read a book on the topic, go for a walk, write, ask people for their insights and knowledge (not for them to do the work and rescue you...
