Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts Teaser Trailer: Yelena Belova Leads a Team of Misfits

Ubisoft has updated its strategy for the near future, and in a new statement, has revealed that it has canceled three unannounced games and has delayed Skull and Bones yet again. Attributing this leaner focus on “major challenges” and an industry that it says is shifting towards “mega-brands and long-lasting titles,” Ubisoft says that its recent launches have not performed as well as expected. The company will now focus more of its efforts on building its current brands and live service titles and has revised its Q3 2022-23 net bookings target, which it now expects to reach approximately $779 million versus its prior target of approximately $831 million. The Batman director Matt Reeves is soon set to meet with co-CEOs of DC Studios James Gunn and Peter Safran to discuss how their two universes, the DCU and the BatVerse, will be developed alongside each other. The BatVerse, led by The Batman starring Robert Pattinson, would become its own universe separate from the reworks currently happening at DC under its new leadership. The meeting will ensure the two universes don’t overlap, as Batman will presumably turn up in Gunn and Safran’s DCU too. Little is known about the new DCU so far, though a Young Superman movie is on the way and is a “huge priority” for DC Studios going forward. The BatVerse is already in full swing with at least three spin-off shows reportedly in development, a full film sequel in the works, and many other films based on Batman villains are in talks. Second Dinner, the developer of Marvel Snap, has announced that the long-awaited PVP Battle Mode will launch at the end of this month. The update will also include a new mechanic called Series Drop, which affects the rarity of cards and will make some Series 3, 4, and 5 cards 10 times more common in card drops and cheaper in the store. The Token Shop will also get improvements to card progression. An Xbox and Bethesda Developer Direct games showcase is scheduled to take place on January 25th. The event will give an “inside look at some of the games coming to Xbox, PC, and Game Pass in the coming months” presented directly from the developers. Four games have been confirmed so far: The Elder Scrolls Online, Minecraft Legends, Forza Motorsport and Redfall. Black Panther 3 is in development according to Letitia Wright, the star of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Wright made the comment during a red-carpet interview with Variety, indicating that production has started on the third installment of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther franchise. However, Marvel Studios has yet to officially confirm the production of Black Panther 3. The executive producer of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Nate Moore, confirmed before the film’s release that Marvel Studios was considering plans for a sequel and that they would gauge moviegoers’ response to Wakanda Forever before deciding whether a direct follow-up was the best way to continue the Black Panther story. Paramount Plus and Hasbro studio eOne will collaborate on adapting Dungeons & Dragons for television. The show is in early development and led by Red Notice director Rawson Marshall Thurber. eOne shopped the show around in November, and received interest from multiple buyers, but landed on Paramount Plus after a competitive situation. The two companies will partner to create the show, with Thurber writing the pilot and directing the first episode. The partnership makes sense as eOne and Paramount Pictures co-produced Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. The live-action D&D show for Paramount Plus could be eOne’s largest-scope TV project ever with the potential to kick off a D&D universe with scripted and unscripted shows. Sony announced Project Leonardo, a new highly customizable controller kit for the PlayStation 5 that is designed to help many players with disabilities play games more easily and comfortably. Project Leonardo includes a kit of swappable components, such as analog stick caps and buttons in different shapes and sizes, that players can use to craft a variety of control layouts. The controller also has software customizations, including button mapping and control profiles, that allow players to tailor their play experience to their particular needs.
