Coffee & Geography 1x27 Ro Procter (UK)

Coffee & Geography 1x27 Ro Procter (UK)

Kit talks to Ro Procter, chatting about Geography as a STEMM subject, how geography can help in discovering gender and sexual identity and what it is to be non-binary, autism as a ‘superpower’, the history behind the story of Brer Rabbit amongst other things! Ro is an autistic, non-binary and pansexual environmental scientist. They like to be as loud as they can be about their diversities because it helps other people feel welcome in these sciences. “It helps to break down the idea of a geographer as a bonkers old man with maps and binoculars.” Ro works with two organisations in Norwich to break down these monochromatic barriers to improve accessibility to science. Ro used their degree to understand how theme parks are made up, and what makes them so successful.
