Episode 177 of the InGoal Radio Podcast, presented by The Hockey Shop Source for Sports, features Jamie Phillips, former pro goaltender now Sport Scientist and goaltending coach at Michigan Tech for a great discussion about nutrition, training and injury prevention for goaltenders.

In the feature interview, presented by Sense Arena, Phillips talks about the things he sees missing from a physical and dietary perspective in goaltenders, injury prevention through training, off-season training with an emphasis on the last few months of the summer, the use of nutritional supplements and more. With an undergraduate and Master’s degree in Exercise Science and now working towards a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Phillips understands the position and the needs of goaltenders and can communicate his knowledge clearly and concisely. His dual role of Scientist and Goalie coach also give him a perspective on the position and its needs like few others possess.

Phillips began Victorem Integrated Performance with one goal in mind, to help athletes perform at their best each and every day through scientifically backed programming in both nutrition and off ice training. He can be reached via DM on his Instagram page @VictoremPerformance.
