Hello and welcome to the Adam Farris podcast with your host Adam Farris every may is mental health awareness month. But everyday you should take care of your mental health as well. Millions of people in the US are affected by mental illness each year it's important to measure how common mental illness is, so that we can understand its physical, social, and financial impact. One in five adults experience mental illness each year. 1 In 20 US adult experience serious mental illness every year So you're asking me, right? What can you do? Speak up if you're not feeling well, or speak to a counselor or your teacher? Or maybe a family member, or someone you trust, And talk to them about how you're feeling. Because trust me I've been there, I have some disabilities which I call unique abilities. Because in reality, we are all not disabled, right? We all have a unique ability, and we would like the world to understand that we are all alike. Thank you for listening to the Adam Farris podcast. Take care of everyone
