Sean Roberts, the CEO of Villa, joins Tech Nest today to discuss what he's leading at Villa. He joined the company earlier in the year, and is helping expand Villa's ADU empire across the state of California. As the largest provider of ADUs in California, Sean breaks down the key advantages Villa has over the competition when it comes to manufacturing, logistics, and working with local governments. They may be a construction company on the surface, but there's far more than what meets the eye. Listen in to what Sean has to say.

More about Sean and Villa
Villa’s mission is to be the easiest, fastest, and most cost-efficient way to build homes. As the largest provider of prefab ADUs in California, Villa simplifies the complex process of building a new housing unit in your own backyard, from design to installation. Villa has created a scalable, affordable alternative to traditional on-site construction, and is modernizing the way that new housing is built in the U.S.

Sean Roberts is Villa’s CEO. Prior to Villa, he served as both COO and CFO at Orchard, a proptech company with vertically-integrated real estate brokerage, title/escrow, and mortgage offerings and innovative capital-enabled consumer offerings. Before Orchard, Sean was an investor at TPG, a leading global private equity firm, where he focused primarily on investments in operationally-intensive real estate oriented businesses. He began his career as an investment banker in the Financial Institutions Group at Goldman Sachs. He has served on corporate boards in the past. Sean holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University in Canada.

S6E59 Interview with Ryan Frazier, Co-Founder of Arrived Homes

S6E59 Interview with Ryan Frazier, Co-Founder of Arrived Homes

Real estate is one of the oldest and highest performing asset classes - known for producing long-term wealth over generations. However, more people are choosing to rent now than at any point in the last 50 years, either for affordability or freedom to move. While individuals can achieve greater flexibility through renting, they also miss out on the benefits of wealth creation that can come from owning real estate, and, therefore end up under invested in real estate compared to peers who purchase homes. Every year spent without holding real estate investments, real estate can become more expensive and further out of reach as property values rise.We believe people should have the freedom to move around to pursue new opportunities in their life while still having access to the wealth creation long-term home ownership can provide.https://arrivedhomes.comhttps://twitter.com/ArrivedHomeshttps://twitter.com/RyFrazhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/ryfraz/Ryan@arrivedhomes.com
