As an elite soldier serving in Afghanistan, Tobias Gutteridge’s life was changed forever by a single bullet.

The shot penetrated his neck, severing his spinal cord and leaving him paralysed from the chin down.

Toby faced the unimaginable realisation that his life was changed forever, being confined to a wheelchair with a respirator helping him breathe, and requiring around-the-clock care.

He struggled with drug abuse, mental health challenges, and the on-going temptation to pursue an assisted suicide.

It’s a story of resilience, strength, and hope in the face of the most brutal circumstances. This man is an inspiration, a true fighter, and an example to us all.
