Episode 103 – Cultivating Self-Worth

Episode 103 – Cultivating Self-Worth

In this week’s episode we check in with Edward about progress he is making with tracking his emotions. A few weeks ago, Edward found himself caught in a bad space which, due to time blindness, he felt he had been in for far longer than he had. Since then, he has followed a suggestion from Jason to give him emotional context for the last few weeks. Edward also shares with us some of the good things that are happening in his life as well as some plans for upcoming family events.

In this week’s Deep Dive, Jason and Edward discuss self-worth. Edward starts us off with some information and the differences between self-worth and self-esteem. From there Edward shares some tips to assist in recognizing and cultivating a person’s self-worth. Each of these tips is then discussed by Jason and Edward from the perspective of someone with ADHD, someone who is more neurotypical, and finally someone who has suffered deep childhood trauma. Challenging the deeply held beliefs about oneself can be difficult. Jason and Edward end with a message of understanding that everyone, simply by being human is worthy of being loved.
