#211 - Daddy Dom/Little Girl Complex: Connection or Controversy?

***TRIGGER WARNING*** Mention of pedophilia and child sexual abuse.

Welcome back to Season 7!!! Long wait but I'm very excited to debut this this action-packed season.

In this episode, guests, Kitty Strange and Stephen Strange discuss the DDLG (Daddy Dom Little Girl) fetish, which is part of the BDSM community. They aim to destigmatize sex work and provide a platform for sex workers to share their stories. Kitty and Stephen Strange, adult content creators, talk about how they got started in the industry and their experiences. They explain that DDLG is a role play or lifestyle where there is a dominant caretaker role and a submissive role with a more youthful or vulnerable mindset. They clarify that DDLG is not age regression or age play, and it is not associated with pedophilia. They emphasize that it is about vulnerability, mentorship, and being nurtured. They address the misconception that DDLG is related to pedophilia and explain that pedophiles are attracted to children, not adults in role play scenarios. They also highlight that DDLG can be non-sexual and provide healing and connection for individuals who need it. In this part of the conversation, the hosts discuss the taboo nature of DDLG and the potential correlation with pedophilic activity. They also touch on the topic of pushback and repression within the community. The hosts share their experiences of acceptance and novelty within the BDSM community. They emphasize the importance of being respectful and considerate of others' boundaries in public spaces. The conversation then shifts to the spectrum of DDLG, including the roles of littles and middles. The hosts highlight the variety of dynamics and labels within the DDLG community. They also discuss the freedom to choose and customize one's own experience within the kink. The therapeutic aspect of DDLG is mentioned, particularly for individuals who have experienced neglect or abuse in their past. The hosts emphasize the empowering and healing nature of DDLG relationships. In this final part of the conversation, Kitty Strange and Steph Sia discuss how Kitty prepares for her content creation and the challenges they face when uploading to platforms like OnlyFans. They also touch on the restrictions and regulations imposed by payment processors and social media platforms. Kitty shares her preferred aesthetic for her content, which includes the Lolita style and other kid core or child core outfits. They discuss the importance of expressing oneself and recapturing childhood experiences through content creation. The conversation concludes with Kitty sharing where listeners can find her content and how they can support the show.

#99 – Should I Stay or Should I Go? Agency Work vs. Going Indy w/ Elizabeth Weisz

#99 – Should I Stay or Should I Go? Agency Work vs. Going Indy w/ Elizabeth Weisz

I’ve been waiting SO LONG to bring this guest onto the show and having had some comments and curiosities surrounding the agency side of full service work, I think it was about time to bring our guest on. I am so excited to finally bring on Elizabeth Weisz onto the show this week. Elizabeth is a companion currently (at the time of recording) based in Ottawa, Canada who has been so generous to share her experience on working in escort agencies and how she finally came to the decision to go “indy”, or independent. Yes, we’ve heard of the horror stories of working in agencies but Elizabeth also speaks about the positives. She also shares about the “bait”-style agencies which, when she explains it, almost sounds a bit like a catfish situation for clients, and safety and security measures (are there any?) that agencies claim that they offer. She speaks about her challenging time transitioning from working in an agency and getting her foot started as an independent escort which she couldn’t have done without help from the collectives – something that I had no idea even existed! Elizabeth is simply just a wealth of knowledge, intelligent and extremely personable. #98 – The Misconceptions Behind Nude Life Art Modeling w/ Marcel Canuck

#98 – The Misconceptions Behind Nude Life Art Modeling w/ Marcel Canuck

I am so thrilled to be doing my first in-person interview in a year and a half! I am absolutely ecstatic to bring on my friend and student, Marcel Canuck, onto the show this week as we go a little left field (as I always love to do!) as we speak about life art modeling. Marcel is a longtime life art model who has modeled all over North American and Europe. He brings to the show his years of experience as a model, most commonly asked questions and of course, misconceptions about what life art modeling is. If you aren’t aware, life art modelig is nude modeling. It’s an expressive art form used in visual effects schools to learn how the body moves and to better understand how to demonstrate mobility onscreen. Because of the nature of the job, Marcel is often subjected to misogynistic comments, unsolicited dick pics and assumptions that surrounds this type of art. Did you know how un-erotic this type of art is and how physical this profession is? We also discuss the shame and stigma of the naked body in the North American context, dealing with stalkers and online harassment, and how to get started as a model. @marcelc997 Don’t forget to LIKE, RATE, SHARE, REVIEW, and SUBSCRIBE! @strippedbysia @siasteph twitter.com/strippedbysia www.stephsia.com https://www.patreon.com/Strippedbysia

#97 - Pimped: A Story of Manipulation, Power, Control, Abuse and Sex w/ Cougar Nikki

#97 - Pimped: A Story of Manipulation, Power, Control, Abuse and Sex w/ Cougar Nikki

***TRIGGER WARNING – Mention of sexual assault, substance abuse, physical abuse, pimps.*** Huge episode this week. It’s been a while since we’ve had a long-form episode on the podcast, eh? Well, this week is certainly deserving of the length as it is a fascinating and heartbreaking episode that I have had the pleasure to share. I speak with fellow full service sex worker, Cougar Nikki, this week on the podcast to tell us her story on how she was pimped as a young teenager and then trafficked across Canada by her pimps. She tells us of her backstory, how she ended up on the “tracks” of Winnipeg, Canada, the emotional and physical abuse she’s had to endure, the manipulation tactics of her pimps, the power of control, and how she was able to finally get out. Nikki’s story, which occurred in her teenage years during the 90s, is a riveting one, eye-opening, and a different landscape compared to how it is now. It’s a longer episode but well-worth the listen! Please note that a number of names and affiliations were censored in this episode due to protection and to ensure anonymity as Nikki’s former pimps are still around, to her knowledge. Please excuse the number of censored beeps in this episode. www.cougarnikki.com twitter.com/cougarnikki Resources: Dream Catchers – Klinic Community Health Sex Workers of Winnipeg Action Coalition Ndinawemaaganeg Endaawaad – Safe House Don’t forget to LIKE, RATE, SHARE, REVIEW and SUBSCRIBE! @strippedbysia @siasteph twitter.com/strippedbysia www.stephsia.com https://www.patreon.com/Strippedbysia

#96 - Human Trafficking: What It Can Really Look Like w/ Brandi Wood

#96 - Human Trafficking: What It Can Really Look Like w/ Brandi Wood

***TRIGGER WARNING: Human trafficking*** This week, I sit down with full service sex worker, Brandi Wood, whom I connected with recently to touch base on the topic of human trafficking. Often times, when we think of somebody being trafficked, images of children in Southeast Asian with older men might come to mind, or perhaps images of Eastern European or Asian women may flash through your head. These are images that are fed to us through mass media. I, too, fell prey to this and I am still working on unwiring my brain to think differently because I was able to sit down with someone who was trafficked as a teen. My guest this week, Brandi Wood, was trafficked as a teenager. She was introduced to an opportunity "to make some money" by one of her family members, another victim of trafficking, and it wasn't until very recently that Brandi even realized that she was trafficked. She was made to work in a massage parlour in Buffalo, NY. Although the working conditions were described as safe, Brandi had no idea that she was being trafficked into the sex trade. Human trafficking can take form in many different ways and this is just one of them. Thank you so much, Brandi, for coming out the show and sharing your story. https://www.twitter.com/theebrandiwood https://gofund.me/d870ef71 Brandi's recommended resources: Sex Worker AID Vegas People Against Trafficking Humans NY International Institute of Buffalo Don't forget to LIKE, RATE, SHARE, REVIEW and SUBSCRIBE!!! @strippedbysia @siasteph https://www.twitter.com/strippedbysia www.stephsia.com https://www.patreon.com/Strippedbysia

#95 – Decriminalization: Is the New Zealand Model the Ideal Model to Protect Sex Workers? w/ Vixen Temple

#95 – Decriminalization: Is the New Zealand Model the Ideal Model to Protect Sex Workers? w/ Vixen Temple

We all dream about decriminalization (atleast here in North America and in other parts of the world)! It seems like a dream for many countries as sex workers are a widely marginalized and unprotected group by most governments. There is only one country in the world where sex work is decriminalized and that is New Zealand. I invite the ever-so-knowedgeable, Vixen Temple, a sex worker based in Aotearoa, New Zealand, onto the podcast this week to speak about the decriminalization of sex work in her country, sometimes known as the New Zealand model. We speak about how this decision came to be, the history behind it, who is affected and who the law covers and protects, mandatory condom use, if charges can be laid and be upheld and to whom and how this model could be applied in other countries. Vixen is an exceptionally-talented human being, activist, performance artist and of course, sex worker, and shares so much of her knowledge and expertise on this week’s episode. @vixentemple.666 twitter.com/vixentempleblog Burn the Patriarchy Podcast Don’t forget to LIKE, RATE, SHARE, REVIEW and SUBSCRIBE! @strippedbysia @siasteph twitter.com/strippedbysia www.stephsia.com https://www.patreon.com/Strippedbysia

#94 - Privilege in Sex Work w/ Jessie Sage of the On the Whoreizon Podcast

#94 - Privilege in Sex Work w/ Jessie Sage of the On the Whoreizon Podcast

It’s time to have a conversation about privilege within our community. What does that mean to you? What does that mean? It’s such a huge and hot topic within our industry that people either love or loathe talking about but after a brief tweet went viral, I’m here to start a discussion about it. I am joined by Jessie Sage of On the Whoreizon who I’ve had on the show before (go check out Episode 71!) to help me tackle this behemoth of a topic. We do our best in addressing our own privileges – being white, being cis, being educated, the ability to hold a civ job, being in North America – as we try to untangle what privilege can mean to so many in our community. I was so wrong with when I said that face out could be seen as a privilege and was presented with varying situations where it was out of their control and not their choice. We speak about the challenges of varying dichotomies of being face in vs. face out, contact vs. non-contact work, virtual vs. in-person work, thin vs. fat bodies, white vs. POC, heterosexual vs. LGBTQIA2S+, regionality, experience vs. inexperience. We barely even scratched the surface. An hour just isn’t long enough to fully dissect privilege but alteast we have gotten a conversation going. A big thank you to those who contributed to the show via voice memos. BONUS - Stripping Down the Sex Industry (Virtually LIVE from Florida State University)

BONUS - Stripping Down the Sex Industry (Virtually LIVE from Florida State University)

Hi folks! I’ve just recently come back from a much-needed vacation and have been busy catching up with work here this week. I also was invited to speak, yet again, at Florida State University in one of their Human Sexuality classes (thanks again, Alicia!). I thought this would be a great opportunity to share a little bit about myself (especially if you’re brand new here), to provide insight to these students, some of whom who have never spoken to a sex worker or don’t even know or realize what sex work entails, and to give a real-life account on our lives. I speak about the current landscape that us sex workers live in including laws that affect us, recent ongoing issues like labour rights, organizing in unions and the OnlyFans scandal and answer all of the student questions that I could within our alotted time slot. I was a great conversation to be had and although I was extremely tired (not my best speaking gig!), I feel incredibly humbled to be given this space to educate and spread the word.
