Season 3 Episode 14 Synanon

Recovering alcoholic Charles 'Chuck' Dederich founded Synanon in 1958 to provide substance abuse reform to drug users as well as alcoholics in Santa Monica, California.

This episode we discuss the first day of the rest of your life and the man who coined that phrase. We induct Mr. Rogers into The Nice Cult, Thor tells a few stories, and Cally kisses Gunnar.

The Good:

Trying to get people off drugs
Beachfront property is nice

The Bad:

We can't follow Chuck
Breaking down to build up
Recording yourself telling people to kill someone

The Culty (is there anything in this cult worth incorporating into our own?):

June 2nd Lovelock letter day... On this day send a letter to someone about how much they mean to you
Mr. Rogers is inducted into the Magisterium Collecti
