#58: From Chaos to Calm - How to Create a Positive Anchor

#58: From Chaos to Calm - How to Create a Positive Anchor

The stressors of day-to-day living can be brutally overwhelming. Left unmanaged, stress will slowly build upon itself until we find ourselves spiraling out of control: back-to-back meetings, deadlines, difficult coworkers, irrational bosses, arguments with spouses or loved ones, crying babies, colds, flus, and now the corona virus. We wake up, churn and burn through the day, pass out, and repeat. Sadly, it's become our "norm".

Fortunately there are solutions and tools to help us not just to survive, but THRIVE!

In this episode, Andrew shepherd's you through a guided visualization will help you to create your own positive emotional anchor to a powerfully calm and peaceful emotional state.

An anchor serves a reminder or a trigger that puts you into a certain state of being. Athletes use anchors to get into 'the zone" so they can perform at peak performance and highest levels. A professional speaker will have a certain routine they do before going on stage to remind them of the positive states they want to be in while presenting. You can use this same concept at any time to help you go from chaos to calm.

Remember that life is what we make of it. How we perceive our environment is what creates and shapes our reality. If we look at life through the lens of negativity, fear, and chaos - then that is all that we will see. If we choose to look at life through the lens of positivity, faith, and calm - then we will be able to live in gratitude. It's a choice and, when we have the right tools and perspective, we can more easily and effortlessly navigate life's most challenging moments. This is where you begin to realize the power of the mind.

And remember - Life happens FOR us, not too us.
