382. Intentional Daddy's Girl Karina Acosta's Path to Adoption

382. Intentional Daddy's Girl Karina Acosta's Path to Adoption

Today we have a truly special guest, Karina Acosta, someone who's stepping into the spotlight for the very first time. When someone introduces you to their friends or family, you know those connections deserve a little bit of extra care. Today's guest is no exception. She's the daughter of a very memorable past guest, Enrique Acosta Gonzalez. Her father not only encouraged her but also instilled in her the faith to believe in herself. Confidence is hard to impart on a daughter, but Enrique showed her that building confidence makes you a believer. And now it's her turn to take to the stage. Karina, welcome to the Better Call Daddy show.

Karina shares her touching journey of being intentionally loved and supported by her stepfather, Enrique. From the moment he entered her life at the age of eight, Enrique made every effort to be an active and loving presence. Karina recounts the special moments that solidified their bond, from tea parties to school award ceremonies, and ultimately, her decision to ask Enrique to adopt her when she turned 18.

Karina opens up about her relationship with her biological father and the impact Enrique had in filling that void. She talks about the importance of having a father figure and how it shaped her views on family and parenthood.

Karina also shares her aspirations of becoming a nurse, her interest in holistic living, and her deep appreciation for the support system provided by her family, especially her grandmother.

Join us as Karina discusses the complexities of growing up, the lessons she's learned along the way, and her plans for the future. This episode is a heartfelt exploration of love, family, and the power of intentional relationships.
