The Prep

Fairfield, Iowa is home to just over 9,000 residents. It’s a place that feels more like a small town than a city. There’s a sense of community here, which was a main draw for Nohema Graber and her husband Paul when they decided to move to the Midwest and start a family. Nohema was born and raised in Mexico, and after settling down in Fairfield, she decided to make a career change in her fifties- eventually taking a position teaching Spanish at Fairfield High School. In 2020, Mrs. Graber was introduced to Willard Noble Chaiden Miller- a freshman student who’d just transferred from a local private school. But when Mrs. Graber was reported missing after failing to show up to work on November 3, 2021- investigators quickly learned that Willard Miller had a long lasting grudge toward his Spanish teacher, after Mrs. Graber gave him a bad grade… Written by Michael Dunphy Jr., Executive Produced by Michael Ojibway. A Deal with the Devil

A Deal with the Devil

29-year-old Kelsey Berreth fell in love with a Colorado Rancher through an online Christian dating site. After giving up on her dreams in Washington and moving to rural Teller County, CO to be nearer Patrick Frazee, the two quickly became parents after an unplanned pregnancy. But no matter how much Kelsey longed for love and a future with Patrick - he had other women and refused to commit. On Thanksgiving Day of 2018, Kelsey mysteriously vanished after a trip to a local grocery store… but the story was infinitely more complex than police were prepared for, until the Teller County District Attorney made a proverbial deal with the devil that blew the case wide open.   Written by:  Stephanie Moore (Executive Producer:  Michael Ojibway) Visit Invisible Choir on the web:  Patreon - Invisible Choir Premium:  https://www.patreon.com/InvisibleChoir  Website:  https://www.invisiblechoir.com/  Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/InvisibleChoirPodcast/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/invisiblechoir/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/InvisibleChoir   Written/Audio Sources:  Raw: Witness Krystal Lee Kenny explains clean up after Kelsey Berreth’s Murder RAW: Krystal Lee shows investigators where she said Frazee burned Berreth’s body El Paso/Teller County DA Speaks following guilty verdict in Patrick Frazee Murder trial Extended Interview: The investigators who helped crack the Kelsey Berreth Murder case DA Discusses Patrick Frazee Preliminary Hearing Kelsey Berreth murder case: Updates from Patrick Frazee’s trial in Colorado Timeline for the disappearance of Kelsey Berreth Fiancé accused of killing Kelsey Berreth finally gets to see his arrest warrant affidavit Kelsey Berreth murder case: Patrick Frazee guilty of murder in Colorado Kelsey Berreth Murder Case: Application and Affidavit for Arrest Warrant Application and Affidavit for Arrest Warrant Application and Affidavit for Arrest Warrant 2 Search Warrant Defendant's Motion to Dismiss Complaint New court documents released in Patrick Frazee case PATRICK FRAZEE FOUND GUILTY OF KILLING MISSING FIANCEE KELSEY BERRETH 19-01 Search Warrant Kelsey Berreth murder case: Patrick Frazee’s mistress sentenced to 3 years in prison in connection to killing Placement Consideration of Krystal Kenney for Community Corrections Krystal Lee recounts Kelsey Berreth's alleged last words and her complicated relationship with the murder suspect   Music & Sound Effect Sources Opening Track: “One Night (Good Life) (Instrumental Version)” by BLAEKER   Closing Track: “Ride With Me” by Chaxti All music and sound effects used with express permission under unlimited blanket license authority from Epidemic Sound ®.  Individual sources are available via request at info@invisiblechoir.com See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. Atlanta's Missing and Murdered Children

Atlanta's Missing and Murdered Children

Wayne Williams was convicted of the murders of two young adults in 1982, supposedly bringing an end to the reign of terror of the “Atlanta Monster.” But the cases of at least 27 other missing or murdered African American children were abruptly closed in the aftermath of his conviction, leaving the surviving families with little peace, and no semblance of closure. We spoke with three of the Directors of HBO’s new series, “Atlanta’s Missing and Murdered: The Lost Children” - about their experience creating the new groundbreaking series, and what new light they hope to shed on the now 40-year-old cases. Their investigation uncovered shocking details of evidence tampering, perjury, and widespread cover-up at the highest levels of government and law enforcement.  Special thanks to award-winning Directors Sam Pollard, Maro Chermayeff, and Joshua Bennett for participating in this episode.  Visit Invisible Choir on the web:  Patreon - Invisible Choir Premium:  https://www.patreon.com/InvisibleChoir  Website:  https://www.invisiblechoir.com/  Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/InvisibleChoirPodcast/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/invisiblechoir/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/InvisibleChoir   Written/Audio Sources:  Wayne Williams 1980s Footage Did Wayne Williams kill anyone? The Family Friend

Justice for DJ

Justice for DJ

A suicide is frantically called into 911 from a rural trailer in Flintstone, Georgia in October of 2016. 27-year old Donald “DJ” Fickey, Jr. is dead, the result of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. But as DJ’s immediate family begins piecing together the last moments of his life - they quickly realize his death was no suicide. A Private Investigator soon joins their quest for justice, and his investigation quickly reveals a tangled web of systemic negligence, bias, and a coordinated cover up among the primary witnesses. The key to cracking the case wide open remains untested and locked away in a police evidence room to this day.  A special thank you to DJ's older sister Amanda Shirley and Private Investigator Eric Echols (TFP Company, LLC) for their participation and contributions to this episode.    Investigation Expense Fundraising Accounts (Paypal):  https://www.paypal.com/pools/c/8g3BiJ9fcM  (GoFundMe):  https://www.gofundme.com/f/wwqw3-justice-for-dj     Justice for DJ Links:  Change.Org Petition Demanding GBI Reopen DJ’s Death Investigation www.justicefordj.com  Justice for DJ Facebook Group Justice for DJ Twitter Account Visit Invisible Choir on the web:  Patreon - Invisible Choir Premium:  https://www.patreon.com/InvisibleChoir  Website:  https://www.invisiblechoir.com/  Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/InvisibleChoirPodcast/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/invisiblechoir/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/InvisibleChoir Written/Audio Sources:  All sources were documents/media provided by Amanda Shirley and Private Investigator Eric Echols - obtained directly from Walker County Sheriff’s Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
