IntraFish Episode 16: Behind Norway's latest salmon farming innovations

Norway has been on the forefront of salmon farming development from the very beginning of the industry. But with limits on growth -- due mainly to politics, suitable climates and fish health -- the salmon farming industry must find new ways to grow. Enter Norway's salmon development licenses, a project aimed at spurring innovation in how the fish is farmed with a specific aim on how to reduce sea lice loads -- one of the biggest impacts on the Norwegian salmon farming industry. The results have been amazing, with concepts that could have been brought delivered by an alien culture. IntraFish.no Editor Joar Grindheim and TekFisk Editor Camilla Aadland explain what it all means.
