Genuinely one of the most surreal Twitter Spaces we’ve had – and don’t forget that includes one where Carl was bitten by a horse – so that’s saying something!!!! Mrs Wendover Horn makes a first appearance, Rich cuts a frustrated figure or half a figure, and then Carl and Brett who have been enjoying the delights of hospitality all day come on with a blue cheese fixation and one set of head phones between them, Uncle Ron quotes the “Smiths” and then starts talking about Oil Tankers before requesting that the squad be sent to an Army camp to be “tarred and feathered for the duration of the World Cup, Charlie then comes on pretending to be Sean (who simply wants have KFC and go home) and asks Pete lots of questions and then gives the Coventry pre match talk! Some great calls from other regulars and concerns over the fitness of the squad in the last two games before the World Cup Break. Our condolences to the family of Ben Bray who passed away this week. "What's the craic?" podcast lads Dave and Neil join us for the opposition view as Coventry City come to Vicarage Road. The lads bring us up to speed on their ownership issues and we mutually agree that the word "murky" is very well used when it comes to ownership in the Championship. We also look back to some of the players that the sky blues have enjoyed over the years and Pete explains why he and other Hornets may have been responsible for a Coventry manager ultimately getting the boot. On the prediction front Carl has taken a lead over Justin due to Justin predicting draws all the time, so Justin has started predicting wins and Carl is predicting draws again!!! Carl bangs on about being in hospitality for this game and Justin goes all very "zen" on us for a moment - so we take the piss out of him and suggest wearing in orange - which for once has nothing to do with our rivals up the road - who, if you didn't know, get battered everywhere they go. The Opposition View returns but Cardiff City podcast were unable to make Sunday to record in the end so we do it without them. The lads look back and discuss which was the better of the Luton 4-0 beatings 1997 or 2022 and then discuss the win at Wigan. We review a list of 50 Pozzo signings since Andre Gray and decide if they helped on the pitch for us or not (inspired by a tweet this week- credit anon). We finally reluctantly move onto the preview by choosing which of Cardiffs many left wingers offers the greatest threat and the silliest name before Justin again complains that he can't predict his score first and then complains (again) about scheduled tweets. So, with some fearing an "after the Lord Mayors Show" style result we saw different qualities in a less enthralling game and performance than last week as we faced a home team who were prepared to match any work rate we might apply. In truth, this was a classic away smash and grab of a performance, but we saw character and determination which we hope will be a hallmark under Slaven Bilic. In other news the podcast is two years old, we got some contrasting reviews of the Wigan Kebab and Peter's attempt to create interest in making a Watford equivalent was received about as well as the last time he went banging on about white hankies!!! Justin got very upset about pre-programmed tweets which we all thought was very funny - mainly cos he didn't and Wendover Horn started singing and making requests (for once not of Mrs Wendover!!!).
