New year same old grumpy rubbish!! Justin is goaded into playing Metalica on his acoustic guitar and Pete and Carl continue to offer no assistance as the grumpy mohawk battles with a lack of space and internet connectivity whilst trying to play a guitar “too big for the aperture”! Curry nights and dry January is discussed including Pete’s use of “health supplements” with his diet coke! Questions about half time entertainment and the Centre Spot challenge sees Carl trying to get the whole podcast involved at having a go – much to Pete’s dismay but then Pete prepares a science experiment to see if Justin can pronounce away team player names better than the people he criticises!!! Funny moments of 2023, Is football food as good as it used to be and if so where, pigs in blankets ice cream plus good FA cup ties and fear or excitement of the Chesterfield game and the likely changes to the team are discussed and nothing agreed upon. Christmas gifts are discussed including The Elton John book/audiobook is compared and contrasted to other books and audiobooks and memories of Graham Taylor scouting games alongside supporters to gain an additional level of insight, plus pop grounds and Carl’s new jumper and Jake Livermore’s stinky match worn shirt!!
