Lack of planning and experience: Newcomers might not be familiar with gym etiquette or how to effectively use equipment. This can lead to occupying machines for longer than necessary, unintentionally slowing down others' routines.


Desire for quick results: Unfortunately, some folks approach fitness with unrealistic expectations of achieving their goals in a short timeframe. This can lead to them overexerting themselves, monopolizing equipment, and potentially getting discouraged if they don't see immediate results.


The good news: The January gym rush usually tends to taper off within a few weeks, as some people inevitably drop out after the initial fervor fades. Gym memberships often see a noticeable decline by February, making the situation more manageable for seasoned gym-goers.
