Still No Actual Burrito Emoji

Some interpretations of the emoji don't perfectly capture the essence of a burrito. It often appears as a flat wrap, sometimes even with foil wrapping, which can resemble Mission-style burritos or wraps more than the classic, bulging burrito we know and love.

Here are some possible reasons why the emoji design might differ from your ideal burrito:

Design constraints: Emojis need to be simple and easily recognizable on small screens. Capturing the intricate folds and filling of a burrito while maintaining clarity can be challenging.

Universality: The emoji aims to represent burritos in general, which can have various shapes and styles depending on region and preparation. A single design might not perfectly capture every type of burrito.

Evolution: Emoji designs often evolve over time based on user feedback and cultural shifts. Perhaps a more burrito-accurate design will emerge in future updates.

While the current emoji might not be a perfect representation, it still serves as a fun and recognizable way to convey your love for burritos in digital communication. And who knows, maybe your advocacy for a more "burrito-y" emoji will contribute to future design changes!
