#53 - The Gentrification of the Exotic Dancer w/ Madame Nova Caine
The last episode of the year and we are going out with a BAAAAAAANG! I invite Madame Nova Caine onto the show to speak about...pretty much everything. 53 episodes in and it's important to review and educate all you listeners out there where the term "exotic" in exotic dancer came from. We dive deep into the history of sex work, acknowledging its colonial roots as brown and black bodies being a muse for the white man and how this colonizing perspective is found even in today's world. The competing views of sex workers and the pole community continue to be on edge as we discuss the Pleasers controversy that happened earlier this month and what Nova Caine believes how erotic movement classes should be taught in studios. We also get cozy with Nova Caine as she shares with us intimate details of her military discharge and the role it played in her family, her sex work and the chronic pain it left her at age 21 and how stripping serves as physical therapy for her. We get into some heated topics on this episode but the overarching theme is the same: giving credit where credit is due. Thank you again to all of the loyal listeners. There will be more episodes going straight through 2021 - stay tuned! @novacainedances_llc Don't forget LIKE, RATE, SHARE, REVIEW and SUBSCRIBE! @strippedbysia @siasteph www.stephsia.com twitter.com/strippedbysia https://www.patreon.com/Strippedbysia

#52 - Instagram, Stop Censoring Sex Workers w/ Jordan Kensley
I bring on the fabulous LA-based stripper, Jordan Kensley, onto the show this week! If you don't know Jordan, she is an internationally recognized and award-winning pole dancer who tours the globe frequently and fellow injustice activist. Oh, and not to mention she is one HELL OF A TALKER (which is precisely why I brought her onto the show)! We discuss in detail Instagram's tireless plight to censor sex workers, shadowbanning in all forms in both past and present, and the overall erasure of women's bodies on their platform. We speak about the #notastripper athletic pole dancers and the divide between pole dancing and sex workers. We also discuss the current political climate in America, SOSTA/FESTA, the laws that are being enacted in LA clubs and continue the conversation regarding independent contracting and being an employee of strip clubs and the parameters surrounding each side. Jordan shares with us a plethora of information both helpful to sex workers and civilians alike and if you liked the episode, don't forget to Venmo her! #51 - Devotees and Disability Fetish: The Act of Caring or Crossing the Line? w/ Rafael Hotrod
***TRIGGER WARNING*** This week I will be discussing sex work and disability. If this triggers you, you may want to skip this episode. I invite disabled sex worker, Rafael Hotrod, onto the show today to speak about his sexuality, how he expresses that in his disabled state, the stigma that comes with a physical disability, finding carecaregivers and more. He has recently forayed into sex work during the pandemic after years of pondering and has finally taken the plunge. What made him do it? Is there a market out there for disabled bodies? How does he shoot his content? From having years of experience with gay male escorts, Rafael has finally started to produce his own content. He shares with us a fetish that I had no idea about: disability fetish. He explains the different subgroups of disability, devotee community, admirers, pretenders and more. I know what some of you may be thinking: this isn't moral, this is unethical but hear this one out. Rafael gives us an in-depth and thought-out answer to this niche community and fetish that will have you second-guessing your own judgment. https://www.twitter.com/rafaelhotrod https://www.pornhub.com/model/rafael-hotrod https://onlyfans.com/rafaelhotrod Don't forget to LIKE, RATE, SHARE, REVIEW and SUBSCRIBE! https://www.instagram.com/strippedbysia https://www.instagram.com/siasteph https://www.facebook.com/strippedbysia https://www.stephsia.com twitter.com/strippedbysia https://www.patreon.com/Strippedbysia

#50 - The Rights Sex Workers Don't Have and the Wrongs on the Policing of Women's Bodies w/ Sonia Nowak
This week, we're flying over to POLAND to speak with sex worker and activist, Sonia Nowak. Sonia started in sex work when she was in Poland and later took those skills to London when she was going to school. There, she noticed the injustices that were occurring when it came to sex work, specifically, in regards to stripping. Are we considered as independent contractors or employees? The parameters given by the strip club she was employed at dictated what type of outfits to wear, what hours she was to work, what she could and couldn't do... wait a minute. That doesn't sound like contracting to me - that sounds like employment. Observing these details motivated her to seek out resources for her and other sex workers to organize to build a case against the club and seek to form a union because sex workers deserve to be afforded basic human rights (DAMN RIGHT!). And her involvement with activism doesn't just stop there. Sonia was also recently taking part at the recent protests in Poland surrounding the anti-abortion laws and governing women's bodies. She is an opinionated and intelligent woman and I am so glad to have connected with her and to have had her on the show! @imyourelectricgirl www.twitter.com/electricgirl666 www.facebook.com/imyourelectricgirl Additional information re: sex worker unions, gathering + supplemental resources IG: @unitedstrippersoftheworld www.twitter.com/unitedswers Sex Work Polska East London Strippers Collective History re: SW organizing in the UK Dancers are workers: Nowak v Cahndler Bars Group Ltd and the history of dancer organizing in London Fundraiser to support Polish sex workers Dziewuchy London Don't forget to RATE, REVIEW, SHARE and SUBSCRIBE! @strippedbysia @siasteph Stripped by SIA on Facebook www.twitter.com/stephsia www.stephsia.com

#49 - Paying For Sex: Just For Sex or Something More? w/ Miguel*
We're flipping the table this week on the podcast as I bring a client onto the show - please welcome Miguel* (not his actual name). Miguel comes to the show with a plethora of experience as a loyal client of many different escorts in the city (including past guests on my show). His curiosity first originated in erotic massage parlours and then graduated to full service sex workers via Backpage and Craiglist (RIP!). Miguel shares his experiences regarding why he chooses to pay for sex, what comfort it brings him, and why he continues to seek professional sexual treatment. Is it just for the sex? Is it a form of therapy? Companionship? Not only does he go over the obvious, but we also divulge in him being scammed, catfished and his own personal boundaries being crossed by sex workers. They say there are bad apples in every batch and the sex work industry is not exempt. We also go over client etiquette, what to expect on your first session, keywords to look for in ads that may be red flags and more. This episode is for anyone who is seeking sex work as a client and even for sex workers as well on how to better improve your ads, helpful tips in protecting yourself and basically, the curious! #48 - Finding a Niche Feeding Hungry Strippers in the Stripper Capital of the USA w/ Nikeisah Newton of Meals 4 Heels
We're talking about two of my favourite things this week: food and sex work. That, along with two of my other favourite topics on the podcast: resiliency and allyship. I catch up with Nikeisah Newton of the Portland-based, Meals 4 Heels, a late-night food delivery service fueling hungry strippers with healthy and wholesome food. It was a niche that Nikeisah identified when she left her job as a cook in Portland's restaurant scene. Wanting to support her then dancer ex-girlfriend, she packed up some home cooked lunches for her which she brought to the club and ended up drawing some attention from other local dancers. Before she knew it, things started taking off and word let out. She's now not only feeding sex workers across Portland, but also providing food to the Portland's frontline workers, protesters, LGBTQ and the greater community. Meals 4 Heels is a Black-owned, queer-friendly, and sex worker-supportive business - be sure to order from her if you're based in Portland! #47 - "Would You Like Whipped Cream on That?" - A Caffeinated Conversation with a Bikini Barista w/ Mya Banks
I've been following one of Vancouver's local dancers on Instagram for a little while now only to find out that she's moved down to AMERICA! Wait, what? During a global pandemic? HOW?! I caught up with Mya Banks to speak about her big move down to Washington and her new career change: a bikini barista. From stripping on western Canada's stages to club closures due to the pandemic and a heartbreaking familial situation, Mya decided it was time to pack up and leave. It was time for a new change. With the big move, she had to pivot and find a new job. She was able to find a job that mixed her exhibitionism and killer good looks as a bikini barista. What is that exactly? A naked Starbucks? How do you get paid? What does that entail? You'll have to listen to the entire episode to find out about this form of sex work and how lucrative it can really be. It's a shift in a somewhat different direction with earlier hours, great tips and a helllllllll of a lot of caffeine!
