On today's show we analyze the seasons of Nils Lundkvist, Lian Bichsel, Alex Petrovich, and Brendan Smith. Lundkvist and Bichsel are two young rear guards still finding their way in the NHL, but made huge strides this past season and unfortunately Lundkvist's season was cut short with surgery. Petrovich and Smith are two veterans that served in different roles this past season with one proving to have enormous impact in the playoffs and the other as a utility throughout the season. Dallas Stars Defensive Core Graded: How Did Harley, Heiskanen & Lindell Stack Up?
On today's episode of Locked On Stars, Joey Erickson continues his Dallas Stars 2024-25 season grades as we switch over defenseman after wrapping up the forwards a few weeks ago. The show begins with the career year of Thomas Harley who made waves nationally after taking over in the absence of Miro Heiskanen and even made it on Team Canada for the 4 Nations Faceoff. Following Harley, we look at Heiskanen who had a regular season ending knee surgery in February but was able to return to the playoffs and even looked like himself which was a huge relief. To finish the show we look at Esa Lindell who lead the NHL in penalty kill time on ice and continues to be a steady presence on the Stars blue line even if they cannot find a suitable partner.
