WELCOME TO CELTIC MUSIC

* Helping you celebrate Celtic culture through music. My name is Marc Gunn. I am a Celtic musician and podcaster. This show is dedicated to the indie Celtic musicians. Please support these artists. Share the show with your friends. And find more episodes at celticmusicpodcast.com. You can also support this podcast on Patreon.

It was a rollercoaster of a week here in the States. So I just want you to know, I love you for listening and for supporting the diversity in our Celtic community. It's important to remember kindness in these tough times. So I hope I can bring a smile to your face with more great Celtic music.

You may already know that I include timestamps in each episode. This makes it easier for you to find out who is playing and what the awesome track is.

A few months ago, we started using an app called Forecast which creates chapters to make it even more easy.

I can't find the email. But a month or so ago, someone emailed and suggested that I put the artist name first, instead of listing the song first. I just did that. So now when you look at the show notes, it should be even easier to find out who is playing what track so you can vote for them in the Celtic Top 20.

THANK YOU PATRONS OF THE PODCAST!

Because of Your kind and generous support, this show comes out every week. Your generosity funds the creation, promotion and production of the show. It allows us to attract new listeners and to help our community grow.

As a patron, you get to hear episodes before regular listeners. When we hit a milestone, you get an extra-long episode. You can pledge a dollar or more per episode and cap how much you want to spend each month over on Patreon.

Brandon Carl emailed a couple photos: "Hello Mark it is nice to meet you. This is my first time messaging you. I have been a long time listener of your podcast and am always a fan of Irish and Celtic music. I am actually in a bagpipe band in Virginia and play the snare drum. What I normally do while listening to your podcasts is play my truck simulator on my PC. Euro Truck Simulator 2. It can be a pretty addicting game. Hope you have a great New Years and talk to you soon! Cheers! *Note:: Band photo was when I used to play the bass drum."

Kristina Arroyo emailed a photo: "I'm working on this piece while listening to your beautiful show, started this on winter solstice."

Scott Selhorst emailed from Dayton, Ohio: "Hello Marc, I have been a fan, a listener, and a supporter for a long time. Listening to episode 491 got me thinking about this. Episode 18 (April 2006) is still one I listen to every so often.

My kids, much younger then, thought 4:15-4:20 was pretty cool. You might think that is a very specific, possibly strange, 5-second range. Listen to it, and you will understand why 4, 8, and 9 year old kids would think that was pretty cool. I cannot recall how I initially found your music, but you introduced me to this genre of music, which I enjoy immensely. Thank you."
