#19 The importance of self-discovery and authenticity when finding your dream career

In this episode I spoke to a previous client of mine, Mirjam about the importance of self-discovery and authenticity when finding your dream career.

Mirjam shared how the TalentScan helped her get to know herself on a deeper level and become more self-aware by giving her clarity on her strengths, pitfalls, and desires.

Mirjam shared about her strong belief in the power of intuition in decision-making and life in general. She emphasised the importance of trust, abundance mentality, and being real with oneself when it comes to searching for a new job.

She believes that fulfilment in one's job is crucial, and happiness should be prioritised over financial stability. The problem with today’s society is that not enough people choose happiness over societal expectations such as money, security, or status.

Mirjam suggested that people can make the right choices by repeatedly asking themselves WHY they want to do something, until they get to the core of their desires.

The process of going on a personal development journey and becoming your true authentic self is not an overnight thing but it’s vital to start this process of self-discovery if you want to be happy in your career and find something that you are truly passionate about.
