Pat Metheny plays LIVE in Richard Niles Exclusive Interview PART 3

In this 3rd and final part of my BBC Radio 2 series “Pat Metheny - Bright Size Life” recorded in 2007, Pat not only explains his concepts, he also demonstrates them on the guitar. This is a unique opportunity to hear how he expresses the infinite optimism, fearless exploration and sensitive humanity of his music.

I continued to ask philosophically provocative questions that elicited such fascinating answers. As I wrote in my book, The Pat Metheny Interviews, “we are indeed fortunate to have lived at a time when artists such as Metheny were allowed to develop, be appreciated and supported by both the artistic and economic environment of the 2nd half of the 20th century. Our lives have been enriched by them.”
