Welcome to the "Memorizing Tarot Cards" podcast, your three-minute lessons on learning and memorizing each card using symbolism. I use the Rider Waite Tarot, but you can view the card while you listen using your own Tarot card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring The High Priestess, focusing on reversals. Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed.

The High Priestess upright embodies Intuition, mystery, and inner knowledge. She is the guardian of the subconscious, urging us to trust our instincts and look beyond the surface for answers. However, when The High Priestess appears reversed, this intuitive flow can become blocked. It suggests that you may be disconnected from your inner voice or ignore the subtle cues that guide you. The reversed High Priestess often points to a time when distractions, doubt, or external influences cloud your ability to trust yourself. It's a call to reconnect with your inner wisdom and rediscover the power of your Intuition.

So what does that mean when we see The High Priestess reversed in a reading?

When The High Priestess reversed appears in a reading, it's a sign that you must focus on reconnecting with your Intuition. Do not let any external voices or doubts override your inner knowing. This card encourages you to trust that your instincts have value and to give them the space to guide you. It may also indicate that you need to pay attention to what's being kept hidden. So, what is the best way to memorize The High Priestess in reverse? Tying the card to a personal experience helps me remember it. For example, my reversed High Priestess moment was when I needed to trust the universe that everything would be okay with respect to finding work. I moved from a city to a small rural town of 5,000 people. I needed to trust that even though there were fewer remote opportunities, there would always be one for me when I needed it. I suffered from a lot of self-doubt on the surface, but in my gut, I felt safe. Those nagging thoughts created a lot of stress that was completely unnecessary. I worked on my resilience and put energy into my projects utilizing the skills that so many clients have hired me for, such as course creation, this podcast, and promoting digital asset products. I also firmly believed that I could generate my own income while still looking for another contract. I felt cozy having my eggs in more than one basket. The high priestess reverse had me second guessing these positive thoughts with grappling and self-doubt. It's time to have faith in yourself and your path. Follow your Intuition and let go of fear and stress, especially over problems that haven't happened.
