The Role of Public Opinion in Peacemaking – The Case of the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict

Listen in on this very interesting seminar on the role of public opinion in peacemaking. During the past decade, Palestinian and Israeli public opinion has become more hardline exhibiting greater opposition to compromise. Support for the two-state solution has decreased by at least one third. This change raises worrying questions regarding the role of public opinion in peacemaking. The talk will describe trends in Palestinian public opinion and examine the implications of recent changes.
