Episode 237: Sujatha Alluri | How the Covid Crisis in India Can Teach Us Our Ability to Impact Others

Over the past couple of months, India has been one of hardest hit places with COVID-19 and though conditions seem to be improving on the right trend, the country is still experiencing over 100,000 new cases per day, as of this post. I recently had a conversation on Beyond the Business Suit Live on LinkedIn with my friend Sujatha Alluri, who shared some things we all can do to support our teams, friends and colleagues during this time. And her advice even transcends this situation as so often we may hear of devastating things going on and feel paralyzed by what we can do. She is a living example of how we all have the capacity to impact the world.

The objective of the US V-Care Campaign is to raise $50,000 to drive vaccination rollout by incentivizing through distribution of 2 weeks of food supplies, hygiene kits and education material. Funding of hygiene kits and education material has been taken care of locally, and vaccinations are free. However there is immediate need to help procure 2 weeks of food supplies, which costs less than $15 for a family of 4. This will allow families to stay indoors and be better prepared to safeguard themselves, in addition to help overcome vaccination hesitancy.
