How to find more peace in daily life with Rupert Spira

Hey everyone and welcome back to Motherkind. The show that is going to help you navigate the massive challenges of motherhood (and life) with more acceptance, ease, joy and purpose. This week’s episode is slightly different. It is with writer and spiritual teacher, Rupert Spira. I'm so keen to share with you on this podcast voices, experiences and ideas from a really broad range of experts. It's such a joy for me to contemplate all of these different ideas and how they can help us on our journeys as mothers. I loved this chat with Rupert. I'm not gonna lie, it was deeply confronting for me at times and a little bit like a personal one-to-one session, but ultimately really beautiful. Rupert said something I can’t stop thinking about since our recording, he said that: The most important thing we can do as parents is to model how we handle emotions and that that's way more powerful than anything we could ever teach or say. So whether you are deep into a spiritual quest or you have absolutely no idea what to expect from this chat, I think by the end you're gonna be left with a feeling of calm. My intention with this episode is to tap into curiosity, open-mindedness and wonder - Those can be powerful qualities - asking yourself what if I tried this, what would I experience? What would that be like? As always, we continue the conversation over on Instagram, so come and join us there. Studies show that regular exercise not only builds your physical strength, but also boosts your mood, reduces stress and increases self-esteem. I definitely know that one of the easiest ways for me to get that serotonin flowing is through exercise. So let's get more of that incredible post-exercise feeling with Gymondo. Gymondo is an online fitness and wellbeing platform with hundreds of 20 to 30-minute workouts. It works brilliantly for me with programs ranging from HIT and yoga to dance and meditation. Plus thousands of healthy recipes. Gymondo will help you make exercise a consistent part of your routine because as we all know, consistency is the key. And because Gymondo is online, it gives you the freedom and flexibility to decide when and where you work out, which, for me, is in my living room. GROUP COACHING PROGRAMME - STARTS 14th OF SEPTEMBER 2022 Our next round of group coaching starts on the 14the of September. If you want to be coached by me and feel like now is your time. I'd love for you to join us. It is a small group of 10 who come together for 8 weeks led by me to explore topics like boundaries, energy, values journaling and much more. It is going to help you find clarity, connection and community. Head to motherkind.co for more information. ABOUT RUPERT SPIRA From an early age, Rupert Spira was deeply interested in the nature of reality and the source of lasting peace and happiness. After spending twenty years immersed in the teachings of classical Advaita Vedanta, he met his teacher, Francis Lucille, who introduced him to the Direct Path approach whereby one may recognise the source of peace and happiness in oneself. Rupert has written several books and holds regular meetings and retreats online, as well as in Europe and the United States. He is also a noted potter, trained in the British Studio Pottery school, with work in public and private collections. www.rupertspira.com Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/rupertspira/ Twitter - https://twitter.com/RupertSpira_ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/rupertspira Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxXWjjtATq3OM545gMh9PUg Learn more about your ad choices.
