The Voice Within

Today’s dose of "Vitamin D" is dedicated to the power of discernment. In life, we have distractions all around us. However, it is up to us to listen to the voice within. Some like to call it instinct, others like to call it gut, some even may like to call it God. Whichever name you choose, just know it exists inside each and every one of us. However, not everyone recognizes it. Why is that? Well, it’s because we are not one with ourselves. We haven’t taken the time to sit down with ourselves, to learn ourselves and to become at peace with ourselves.

I know when I was a little kid, I could recognize the jingle of my mama's keys. No matter who was around with keys, I knew the sound of my mama’s keys. So as it relates to you. Do you know the sound of your inner voice? Do you recognize the voice that speaks to you in your most difficult hour? The same voice that tells you what is right, when all you can see what is wrong. Yes, that voice. It may not seem to make sense on the surface, but deep down inside it’s speaking to you. I want you to tap into that voice. Get familiar with yourself.

In the hit single, “The Voice Within,” Christina Aguilera urges you to “look inside yourself, like your oldest friend [and] trust the voice within.” Yes, trust that voice. It will guide and lead you down the path of endless opportunities and abundance. No more looking outside and entertaining everyone else's life and their distractions. Take the time to listen to yourself and just trust the voice within.
