Ever wondered what makes a small-town romantic suspense novel so captivating? We couldn't resist discussing this intriguing genre with Ally, the mastermind behind Ally’s Bookshop Around the Corner. In this delightful conversation, we explore Ally's passion for bookstores, Hallmark movies, running marathons, and Peloton classes, as well as her favorite genres of books, which include romance and thrillers – especially those with a darker edge and a kidnapping twist in the third act. We also discuss the challenges of finding the perfect romantic suspense book and why striking a balance between romance and suspense elements can be so tough, all while touching upon the legendary Nora Roberts.

Ally generously shares some of her favorite small-town romantic suspense series, including the Tattered Stars series, which features a forbidden love story set in a quaint town. We also discuss the lighter romantic suspense read, The Bribe by Willa Nash, and the darker tale, Where the Blame Lies by Mia Sheridan. And for those of you craving a thrilling romantic suspense novel, don't miss out on Ali's recommendation of Bad Mother, also by Mia Sheridan. So, grab a cup of tea and join us for this fascinating conversation that dives deep into the world of romantic suspense!
